A lot of people are way out of line with their opinions & self expression. Self-agency often causes people to just destroy their own lives. Most people are not strong & independent. Listening to others isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially if they're wiser than you.

Anyone else stopped vibe-coding? I've cancelled all my AI subscriptions. After initial excitement, I felt AI couldn't do more than before. It's more of a "knowledge refactor" - like an encyclopedia that reorganizes information, yet unlocks few opportunities. A dip is coming.

So tired of this scarcity mindset... Poverty is not real. If you feel "poor", it's more a reflection of childhood trauma than reality. We reached superabundance a while ago - just look at all the food, clothes, stuff. Housing is cheap away from city centers. Most people are "poor" only in status, but that's a different game.

Good time to revisit this. Remember when I said Linux was insecure, and everyone clowned on me? Enjoy patching your kernels as a routine. Most normal people have no idea how much maintenance Linux needs. Meanwhile, MacOS still has no critical bugs? Auto-updates fix overnight.
Unpopular opinion: Don't use Linux for personal use. The reality is it's insecure - bugs in browsers, apps, & drivers go unfixed for months. Prod Linux servers are extremely minimal, your computer is not. Apple ships critical fixes overnight, it's a brand emergency otherwise.

With all the hacks, crypto has become unusable. Nothing is safe. Users won't touch apps or wallets, devs are paralyzed with no solution. Progress has ground to a halt. The final backstop are the ETH holders, as attackers launder funds into ETH, then extract a slow bleed. The experiment ends, and value consolidates into Bitcoin and stablecoins.

Seems anything is hackable now. An AI pointed at any system will eventually find a vulnerability or strategy for exploit. It may take time, but assume it can hack any website, crypto exchange, DeFi protocol. It may be a fool's errand to guarantee safety. Rather, design systems to fail gracefully. Hold minimal value, store minimal data.

I didn't vote, no longer care anymore. But results show, Trump left a lot of supporters feeling betrayed & self-deluded. Promises made, not kept. Where's that Strategic Bitcoin Reserve? No new wars? Protecting your supporters? This should be no surprise.

Seems everyone's vibe-coding, while living off savings. I think the recession hits in a few months after they're done building, but no one cares. Hope fades. No one downloads their AI slop game or app - everyone too busy scrolling. Building isn't the problem, distribution is.

There's a lot of losers on this app. People who have nothing to do except criticize others with their time. That is a day in their life they'll never get back, and they choose to spend it angry & mean to internet strangers. OK. As for me, I'll fill my day with positivity.

Is it just me, or people are getting meaner to programmers? Not professionally, but in personal lives - visible disrespect & open hostility. The magic veil has been lifted to reveal a simple parlor trick. No longer the "smart ones," just unemployed and ridiculously obsolete.

With Bitcoin back up, people seem to think I was wrong to sell. While I appreciate the concern, don't worry too much about my portfolio. If you made money, congrats - lucky trade, but I'm done guessing market direction. My actual strategy is more robust than just buy vs sell.

The 9-5 is peak living, arguably. You get access to millions of dollars of infrastructure, office space, compute, human labor, resources in a top tier city. Entrepreneurship is a solo grind, 24/7 at home, low budget, no status. Only freedom to sit at a beach - with a laptop.

AI just cut my server bill by 80%..! Was paying $330/mo for 16 cores / 32GB RAM (running it for 20 years). I asked Claude to check the invoice and system usage. It found a cheaper provider, reduced excessive resources, and planned a careful migration. Here's the novel thing...

Many engineers just over-provision, as we're not experts at usage optimization. We don't know exact system needs, migration is risky. I moved 500GB+ of user data. AI did it in a weekend. btw, I went with Vultr. if you're looking for a server, $300 credit vultr.com/?ref=9919353-9J
