Andy Robson 🤝🏼 David Munyua I've wanted to sponsor a player for the past few years, now it's a reality. Three years ago David picked up a dart for the first time, now he's the first Kenyan to qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship. 18th December. Let's get behind him.

Inactivity with hospitalisation is disastrous for physical function in older adults. So much so that >30% of older adults leave hospital unable to do at least one activity of daily living they could do independently beforehand. But it doesn’t take much activity to offset these losses. A new study found as little as 25 min/day of slow walking was enough to improve physical function in older adults during hospitalisation. There were greater benefits with up to 50 min/day slow walking or multicomponent programs incorporating resistance exercise. bjsm.bmj.com/content/early/2…

CPR is not a treatment for #ordinarydying. Every instance of futile CPR - which is what will happen if nobody has sorted out the protection of a DNACPR for someone whose life is coming to an end - is a tragedy. Please, doctors, nurses, patients, families - #havetheconversation.

We pay this organisation over £400 for them to regulate us, i.e. strike us off or sanction us when we make an error. They make so much money all their staff get private health insurance. Isn’t it time to reassess the fitness of the GMC
