It's in Washington's DNA to make big bets on bold ideas. That's what we're doing with sustainable aviation fuels.
Today I announced a new tax credit to attract investment and meet growing demand. This gives Washington state the strongest set of sustainable aviation fuel incentives in the country.
Thanks to state investment and incentives, we're already seeing new sustainable aviation fuel startups building here in Washington state or considering doing so. We're making sure Washington is the best state in the country to produce sustainable aviation fuels.

With the Millionaires' Tax upheld, there's a light at the end of the tunnel with revenue starting to come in 2029. However, our budget remains extremely challenging in the short term.
We're working every day on the hard choices we need to make to balance the budget I'll propose in December.

Yesterday I signed an executive order launching a regulatory reform initiative during a meeting with the Governor's Economic Development Council.
I'm directing state agencies to review existing rules and recommend changes, and pausing all new agency rulemaking that would impose new regulatory requirements for 6 months.
There are few things that frustrate me more than bureaucracy that gets in the way of serving the people. This executive order helps us reduce unnecessary burdens and strengthen Washington's economic competitiveness.

Great news: We're making it more affordable to rebuild homes damaged by the fires in Central and Eastern Washington.
Local governments can now allow homeowners to rebuild to an earlier version of the energy code, or to rebuild with fewer restrictions in the current energy code.
I appreciate the Washington State Building Code Council taking action on my request.

The breadth and width of the blue tsunami was breathtaking. That's huge for Washington state.
Let's start by addressing the devastating cuts to Medicaid, which are leaving so many Washingtonians without healthcare, bringing sanity to immigration enforcement, and canceling the tariffs that are raising costs for Washingtonians and businesses.

Going after the companies responsible for fueling the opioid crisis in our state was a top priority for me as Attorney General. I was proud to file this case, and proud to see the Attorney General's Office bring it to trial and win.

Washington said no to a massive tax break for millionaires and billionaires, and yes to a more fair tax system. Counties across the state are overwhelmingly rejecting I-645.
We as a state protected the biggest small business tax cut in state history, free school meals, and money back to nearly 500,000 working families.

I recently had a productive discussion with Mark Wiseman, Ambassador of Canada to the United States.
Canada is both our closest neighbor and our closest economic partner. In the first six months of this year, Washington exported more than $4 billion of goods to Canada. The people of Washington and Canada have strong ties and shared values.
Washington state and Canada will continue to work together in the face of President Trump's chaotic and irrational trade war.

Wallethub just ranked Washington state as the 6th best state to find a job — with the number 1 economic environment in the nation.
We've used the Strategic Reserve Fund to create thousands of jobs and made historic investments in our infrastructure. We've also cut down on permitting and licensing time — an average of 46 days down to 25 days for the Department of Licensing's 340 licenses and permits — so people can get to work quicker.
I'm excited to continue our work creating good jobs for Washingtonians.

My deepest sympathy to this individual's family. I'm being briefed on this situation, and my team is in close coordination with public health and agriculture officials. Workers at affected farms are advised to take safety precautions, but the risk to the public remains low.

We're seeing an increasing number of folks who put their ballots in the mail on time but it's not received in time to be counted — 20,000 individuals in our primary this year.
These U.S. Postal Service slowdowns are extremely unfortunate. Drop your ballot off at a drop box.

I filled out my ballot and put it in a drop box this morning.
We're seeing more voters who mail their ballot and it either doesn't get postmarked or delivered in time to be counted due to U.S. Postal Service delays.
Washingtonians should use one of the 601 drop boxes and 64 voting centers across our state.
