(2/3) MATI uses enhanced rock weathering, spreading finely crushed basalt on farmland to lock away CO2 while enriching soil and supporting crop yields.
Deployments in India, Tanzania, and Zambia have already demonstrated the potential of the approach, removing thousands of tons of CO2 while contributing to stronger harvests for smallholder farmers.
(3/3) The momentum continues. In 2025, Founder Shantanu Agarwal was named to the TIME100 Next.
Today, MATI partners with 30,000+ farmers across three regions as it works toward an even larger global impact.
