Guys, an October 31 update on @OriginalBlokyz. 👀
I went through the latest posts from the project, its founders and the community. And there are developments making me follow this collection with even more interest.
Some interesting things have been happening around these characters and their universe over the past few days.
1️⃣ The community is already creating new stories
Between October 28 and October 30, @auro_verse continued his own Future Era series inspired by the Blokyverse, reaching its eighth episode.
On October 29, @panelhausapp also featured his Medieval Era comic.
These are community-created interpretations made using Panel Haus, inspired by Blokyz characters and their world.
This is one of the developments I find most bullish.
Someone is investing time in these characters, building dialogue, scenes and stories. And that work is also reaching the audience of the platform used to create it.
To me, that’s an interesting early sign of an IP’s ability to inspire creativity.
A character that makes someone want to tell a story has already started building a connection.
2️⃣ October 28 and October 30: archetypes and collecting
On October 28, @MonkOnTheBlok showcased The Seer, identifying a count of 75 within the collection.
On October 30, @Ukj1111 said he had picked up a Future Era Cypherpunk.
These are small updates, but they illustrate something I like about the project: the ability to look for a specific character with its own identity.
A Seer.
A Cypherpunk.
A Dragon Knight.
A character from your favourite era.
That variety gives collectors different reasons to explore the collection.
Personally, I find it encouraging to see the founders continue discussing individual characters and collecting them too.
That’s the kind of attention to the product I want to see maintained over time.
3️⃣ Physical collectibles are already in collectors’ hands
This part of the journey has already happened.
On October 12, @AshleyDCan showed the collectible she received. On October 13, @Kingpickle shared his, thanking the team after working together on the launch experience.
Other Blokyz also found their way into collectors’ homes during ApeFest.
So today we can point to objects that have been manufactured, received and shown by people.
For a project aiming to build a collectible brand, that matters.
The design has to work as a physical object. The quality has to impress when someone opens the packaging and holds it.
That’s where part of the vision gets tested.
4️⃣ ApeFest and New York: distribution work already completed
In their October 27 recap, @MonkOnTheBlok and @OriginalBlokyz described their weeks between Charleston and New York.
Introducing Blokyz to the Ape community with Greenvisorgang, attending the @opensea Builders Brunch, meeting other builders and hosting dinners with collectors.
They also met @beeple, who signed a Blank Bloky.
Those events have already happened. The interesting part now will be seeing which relationships and opportunities develop from that work.
Introducing a collectible to people also means showing it in person, listening to their reactions and building relationships with people who actually collect.
5️⃣ Why I’m bullish on the direction today
This is the picture I see on October 31:
→ Physical products already delivered.
→ A narrative universe people can already explore.
→ Community-created content published over the past few days.
→ Founders still engaged with the characters and collecting.
→ Real-world activity introducing the project to people.
That’s a foundation they can continue building on.
From here, I want to see further deliveries, creative consistency, new collectors and more opportunities for these characters to reach people.
My thesis is that Blokyz can develop a recognizable identity through that work: objects people want to own, characters they become attached to, and a community finding its own ways to interpret them.
The comics published this week are a concrete example of that last part.
That’s what keeps me following @OriginalBlokyz, @MonkOnTheBlok, @lokithebird , @Ukj1111 and @Tma_420.
I want to see how far they can grow what they’ve already set in motion. 👀
FUCK IT, YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT, BUT I’LL NEVER STOP LOVING NFTS AND INNOVATION.
binance this. binance that
sad for the industry, yeah...
but since i don't have any funds on binance, i decided to take a break from the timeline to build something i actually need
earlier this year, i used to pay monthly for a tool like this
now that i built one for myself
i can make cool videos exploring my favorite protocols for free, with gucci backgrounds and lots of personalized customization for free forever
been looking for some new farms to position myself ahead of 2027
and @looputo_fi fits right into what i already do
their origin season starts november 2, and the incentives are interesting:
↠ 17.5% fixed APR on LSTs in Phase 1, then 15%
↠ 10% fixed APR on yield-bearing stablecoins from Phase 2
you earn LOP points on your deposits, with 2x multipliers for early LST deposits
can't wait for deposits to go live
word on the streets is that LOP points could translate to gucci airdrops in the future

being a founder in crypto is tough
you announce funding
everyone starts glazing you
tagging you multiple times to check their vibecoded apps, arts and articles explaining the revolutionary tek you're building
giving you an illusion of a strong community
then tge happens, and everyone disappears
- a16z removed crypto from it's name
- crypto fundraising is in constant decline
- number of active wallets onchain is reducing
the interest in crypto generally is low atm
ct is just a reflection that, nothing more imo
