Honored to present at #VAM26 on behalf .@AorticC Fenestrations outperform directional branches in target vessel incorporation for complex AAA and Extent IV TAAA — with lower occlusion rates and superior 5-year freedom of target vessel instability rates . Data from 2,044 patients across 10 centers.

The 2026 AATS Aortic Symposium will bring together specialists from around the world to share advances in the diagnosis and treatment of aortic aneurysms and dissections. We are proud that Dr. Joseph S. Coselli, vice chair of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, will serve as one of the symposium’s program directors. The two-day meeting will take place Nov. 19–20, 2026, in New York City and is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients with aortic disease. Great debate on Endo-Bentall among titans of vascular surgery—Gustavo Oderich, Andres Schanzer, and Stephan Haulon. The future of acute Type A aortic dissection is being reimagined, with the field moving toward less invasive, endovascular solutions. An exciting new frontier in aortic surgery!

In CLTI, opening the tibials isn’t always enough. If flow doesn’t reach the feet, sometimes the ulcer won’t heal — and the plantar arch is often the missing link. The arch is unforgiving: small, calcified, prone to recoil. Balloon choice matters. → JADE non-compliant balloon (2×240 mm), OrbusNeich — plantar arch. Holds its diameter at high pressure, delivering focused force on calcified plaque instead of dog-boning into softer segments. → Amphirion Deep tapered balloon, Medtronic — ATA and ATP, respecting the vessel’s natural taper. High, controlled inflation pressure without over-expanding the healthy wall. The goal throughout: in-line flow to the wound bed with minimal trauma. #VascularSurgery #CLTI #Endovascular #LimbSalvage #PedalLoop

I am proud to work alongside an exceptional team at the University of Maryland whose expertise helped shape the latest edition of Rutherford’s Vascular Surgery, the premier reference textbook in our specialty. Our faculty contributed to 5 chapters, including Open Thoracic and Thoracoabdominal Aneurysm (TAA) Repair, Vascular Trauma, Carotid Disease, and Vascular Ultrasound. It is an honor to help advance vascular surgery education and share our experience with surgeons and trainees around the world. @MarylandVasc @MarylandSurg @dr_ghoreishi @BrajeshKLal @RishiKundiMD #VascularSurgery #RutherfordsVascularSurgery #UniversityOfMaryland #AorticSurgery

A true honor to work alongside this remarkable multidisciplinary and international group of experts to develop the ARCH-ARC consensus statement. Bringing together specialists in aortic disease, stroke, neurology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, imaging, industry, and regulatory science reinforced the importance of collaboration in advancing care for patients with complex thoracic aortic disease. Grateful to all of my co-authors for their expertise, collegiality, and commitment to improving outcomes. #ARCH-ARC @NimeshDesaiMD @GregoryPiazza4
