Crypto prediction markets just had their biggest week ever. $2.7 billion in volume in seven days, mostly bets on where Bitcoin’s price lands.
Every one of those markets ends the same way. At a set moment, someone has to say what the price actually was, and that one number decides who gets paid.
Get it slightly wrong and the wrong side wins. And it’s not just prices. Who won the game. Whether the event happened. The calls people end up disputing. Every prediction market is only as trustworthy as the data that resolves it.
