Iris is the network that lets a telecom operator earn on the economics its own infrastructure already creates.

Today we're launching Iris, the financial network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. Operators built the roads the digital economy runs on. Everyone else got rich building the city on top. From 2012 through 2025, traffic on operator networks grew more than 50% a year. Operator revenue grew about 1%. The companies on top took the difference. Operators own what those companies pay dearly for: distribution, the billing relationship, daily engagement. And money already runs through all of it, in subscriber payments, top-ups, advertising and settlement. Iris sits underneath all of it. Same business, new revenue, settled in dollars. Iris runs the rails. The operator keeps the economics. VIVA, a licensed carrier in Bolivia, is the first operator live on Iris. Real transactions, settled in USDi, operating reserves held in dollars. Until now, operators built everything and kept almost none of the value. Now they build almost nothing and keep almost all of it.

A telecom operator starts on Iris with the systems it already runs. To plug in, it needs a login and a USDi account to receive and hold dollars. It keeps its apps, its systems and its customers, and the contributors and the Iris team do the heavy lifting. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. Same business, new revenue, settled in dollars.

The phone connects the physical economy to the digital one, and the operator runs that connection. Iris lets operators earn on the value moving through it, settled in dollars.

A telecom operator's first reason to plug into Iris is revenue from what it already owns, settled in dollars. The bigger change comes after: from a utility that watched others get rich on its network to an owner that finally gets paid for what already runs through it. Come for the revenue. Stay for the transformation.

VIVA is the first telecom operator live on Iris. Its CEO wants more operators to join, including competitors in his own country. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. As more operators and brands join, each one makes the network more useful to the next. Every Iris member keeps its own business, its own customers and its own economics. Nobody shares a P&L. (@ryanj_alvarez at @avax Summit)

Telecom operators get treated like utilities. They also own the customer relationship and the distribution that everyone building on their networks wants. One person can run a hundred wallets. Activity on Iris starts somewhere else: a licensed telecom operator's own subscribers. VIVA, the first operator live on Iris, settles transactions in USDi and attests subscriber activity on the network. (@JohnNahas84 at @avax Summit)

For many telecom leaders, the choice looks like this: take a risk and maybe get fired, or do nothing and definitely get fired. Margins are thin. There is no pricing power. The next network upgrade costs billions, and the one after that will too. Standing still has a cost, and a bet-the-company project carries its own risk. Iris is built so the first step isn't a bet. An operator starts with one product on its own network, sees the number, then decides what comes next. You don't have to bet the company.

Telecom operators already move data at scale. Iris gives them the rails to move money too, settled in dollars. If you can move money and data, you can create value. (@JohnNahas84)

Telecom operators built the infrastructure the rest of tech runs on. The companies built on top captured most of the value. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. Same business, new revenue, settled in dollars.

Prediction: telecom will be the first industry to show blockchain working at scale. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. Four years ago, the question was what it would take for people to use stablecoins. Part of the answer runs through telecom operators. On Iris, operators hold and move dollars in USDi on the network they already run. (@JohnNahas84 at @avax Summit)

Every telecom operator knows the fear: you become the pipe, and someone else becomes the platform. Iris lets an operator switch on new revenue from the infrastructure it already owns, one product at a time, so it stops being the pipe.

On Iris, subscriber data stays inside the telecom operator's own systems. The chain only handles proof and settlement, so authorized parties can verify a record they already hold. Proof, never data. (@ryanj_alvarez at @avax Summit)

People think telecom is dated. Every app you use runs on it. From 2012 to 2025, operator traffic grew more than 50% a year. Revenue grew about 1%. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. @AshleyDCan asked @JulesEMiller the basics.

In the US, the phone sits next to a bank account and a few credit cards. In Bolivia, people use the phone as their bank account. That puts the telecom operator at the center of everyday financial life. Iris is the network telecom operators plug into to earn on what they already own. Same business, new revenue, settled in dollars. (@JulesEMiller via @stabledash)
