For 56 years, Common Cause has worked to make our democracy stronger, expanding voting rights, increasing accountability, and ensuring government works for everyone.
The challenges may evolve, but so do we.
The next chapter starts now.
WE WON: A federal judge ruled the Department of Justice can’t block Alaska's Senate election results if the Republican candidate doesn’t win.
Common Cause intervened in this case to protect the voting rights of its Alaska members.
This ruling is a victory for the people of Alaska, reaffirming their voices will be heard, and their votes will be counted. The Trump administration keeps trying tricks to interfere in our election, but they keep failing because our democracy and people-power is strong.
You know what’s more powerful than any politician? The collective voice of the American people. Different backgrounds and perspectives connect us through the right to shape our future.
Your voice matters. Your vote matters.
WE WON AGAIN: A judge ruled today that the Trump admin and MAGA Inc. can't promote taxpayer-funded ads on social media or TV.
We fought to turn off these political ads because our tax dollars should serve the American people, not the president's ego or his political war chest.
The court rightfully recognized this scheme for what it was: an unlawful attempt to use public funds for partisan propaganda right in the middle of an election.
Fill it out. Seal it up. Send it off! 📬🗳️

MAJOR WIN FOR VOTERS
A federal court just blocked the DOJ’s attempt to disenfranchise California voters using faulty, junk data.
Our President & CEO Virginia Kase Solomón had this to say:
The law is clear, and the courts have reaffirmed it — states administer our elections. It is time for the administration to stop its desperate overreach and respect the fact that in America, voters choose our leaders.
