He was only 14 years old. Amer Rabee was a Palestinian-American teen from New Jersey, on vacation with his family in the West Bank. He and two other teen boys were out picking almonds when the IOF shot them. The IOF alleges they were throwing stones, so they shot Amer 21 times- 6 of those bullets hit him after he was already down on the ground, already dead. Yes, they shot him 6 more times after he was already gone. The other two boys were injured as well in the shooting by the IOF. No parent should have to endure this type of pain, an act of pure evil. Please understand YOUR US tax dollars funded this atrocity. As we learned about Amer’s life, we visited a park built by Amer’s father in his son’s memory, complete with a playground, basketball court, and beautiful murals, as seen in the video. There must be an investigation into his killing and the injury of the other victims.

We received a call about an attack and went to support the family. This is 78-year-old Mustafa, a farmer from Abu Falah in the West Bank. Invaders attacked his property at 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, 9/27. Four of his vehicles, including a tractor, were burned, and the windows of his home were busted out. He and his wife were in danger of being attacked, but the invaders were scared off before Mustafa and his elderly wife were physically harmed. They are American citizens. This attack, like so many others that happen daily in the West Bank, was funded with your US taxpayer dollars. He said more than 150 “settlers” attacked his property. I asked him whether that meant all the invaders in the West Bank had shown up at his home, since Netanyahu claims there are only 150 in total. Mustafa laughed because the number is actually considered to be in the thousands.

Today’s decision was a victory for Missouri voters. The Missouri Supreme Court sided with democracy as Trump works to dismantle it. Thank you Respect Missouri Voters and People Not Politicians along with everyone who supported this effort.

Shame! Yesterday the Missouri Supreme Court heard three cases regarding the recent redistricting maps and processes that the Republican Party has tried to force down the throats of Missourians. Despite organizations like People Not Politicians and Respect MO Voters delivering over 300,000 petition signatures in opposition to Republicans doing Trump’s bidding in the state, the party shamefully persists. Even more shameful were attorneys for the Attorney General’s Office, Secretary of State, and Republican Party arguing before the court with blatant disregard for the Missouri Constitution and insinuating that regardless of how the court rules, they will push forward with using the unlawful gerrymandered maps in November. If you are on the right side, why go to such lengths to impede justice and create chaos?

Jeff City — we’re coming. On Wednesday, September 2, we’re heading to the Missouri Supreme Court to make sure our voices are heard. Missouri voters deserve a say on the Republican-rigged congressional map. Our democracy belongs to the people, and we’re showing up to defend it. The rally runs from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM, and we’re organizing a caravan from St. Louis for anyone who needs a ride. All went home with bags and arms full of supplies. We appreciate your generosity as we focus on being a community of care.

Teachers spend so much of their own time, energy, and money making sure their classrooms are ready for their students. We want to help make that load a little lighter. We’re collecting school supplies specifically for teachers, and we’d love your help filling their classrooms with some of the things they need most.
