BEFORE THE BLOOM (I of III): THE WEIGHT OF BECOMING
I've been thinking a lot about what it means to have so much potential but not have much to show for it yet.
To have dreams, ideas and ambitions you're working towards, even when the results aren't coming as quickly as you'd hoped.
That's what inspired this painting.
The flowers are intentionally unopened. They represent the things we carry within us: the dreams we're working towards, the ideas we're nurturing and the efforts we're making, even when nobody can see what they're leading to.
The woman is holding them, but she isn't smiling. I wanted to paint someone who is still in the process of becoming. Someone with so much ahead of her, but who hasn't quite seen what all she's carrying will become.
To those still trying, don't let where you are right now make you doubt what you're capable of. You're allowed to take your time. Keep going.
And to those who have already found success, remember that you were once trying, too. There was a time when you had dreams and plans but hadn't seen the results yet.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in where we want to be that we forget how much it takes to get there.
Not everything happens overnight. And just because you haven't seen the results doesn't mean your efforts are wasted.

guys, i am thinking,
a 30-day cinematic challenge that will run for the whole of November, a very very simple challenge, here is what it entails,
you are gonna film just one scene, only one daily, you post it,( i think we should use a hashtag, so i can track so let's use: #trusttheprocess30days )
you don't need a camera if you dont have one, you dont need lights, just film whatever comes to mind for that day, and at the end of the challenge, you will combine the 30 shots, into a cinematic sequence, and tell a story with it.
i will figure out what to gift the best sequence, in due time. who is down?
