I’m calling Mark Carney’s bluff.
A Canadian energy company will pay to upgrade the Port of Prince Rupert so it can ship 250,000 barrels per day of Alberta energy by rail to the Pacific Ocean.
There are supportive Conservative governments in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and now in B.C. The public supports diversifying our economy away from the United States. Our environmental protections remain world-class.
This is as close to unanimous as we’re ever going to see in a democracy of 40 million people.
All you have to do is extend the same exemption to the tanker ban that you’ve given to the Port of Vancouver.
This doesn’t need a new committee, a new major projects office, or a nickel of Canadian taxpayer money, and It’ll create jobs across the country to build new rail cars.
So what’s it going to be, Mark?

The Liberals’ new National Security Strategy fails to address serious screening gaps, even as they signal plans to increase immigration.
Canadians deserve to know that people entering our country are properly screened.
With a growing screening backlog and troubling failures, Canadians need answers and action. Conservatives are calling for proper screening before arrival, reliable tracking of departures, and lower immigration levels so our system can keep Canadians safe.
Conservatives aren’t going to stop fighting to make Canada an energy superpower even if Mark Carney refuses to do so.
JUST IN: @MarkJCarney’s Liberals vote to keep B.C.’s oil tanker ban in place, defeating a Conservative bill to repeal it.
The ban has been in place since 2019 and covers B.C.’s entire northern coast — The Canadian Press
This headline is incredibly misleading. Premier Doerksen never said he opposed this project. Canadian oil is selling at a nearly $30 a barrel discount today. That’s billions in lost revenue. The world needs our oil. Mark Carney get out of the way. cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/c…

Now, debt interest is costing a family of four nearly $6,000. Every year.

Canada can unlock an additional 250k+ barrels of oil export capacity via existing rail infrastructure to Prince Rupert. In two years the existing export terminal can be retrofitted to handle oil tankers. Today our oil sells at a $25 per barrel discount. It’s time to end the Liberal tanker ban.

Alberta supports Conservative MP David McKenzie’s Bill C-264 to repeal the federal Oil Tanker Moratorium Act and remove barriers preventing our responsibly produced energy from reaching global markets. Repealing the ban would open the door to crude-by-rail exports through Prince Rupert, giving Alberta another route to reach customers around the world.
Our oil to the United States is selling at a significant discount at a disadvantage to the entire country. The only effective way to close that gap is to increase exports off our western coast and get more customers competing for our energy. For decades, limited access to tidewater has left Alberta heavily dependent on a single customer, putting our oil at a competitive disadvantage and reducing the value of our resources.
The Trans Mountain Expansion has helped open new markets, particularly in Asia, but we need more pipelines and more access to tidewater. Pacific Link will help increase our export capacity, but we also need to remove the federal tanker ban to unlock opportunities through Prince Rupert. Global demand for energy continues to grow, and Alberta has the resources to help meet it.
Alberta holds the fourth-largest proven oil reserves in the world, and developing those resources benefits all Canadians. They help fund hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure and social programs across the country, while creating long-term economic opportunities for Indigenous communities through investment and co-ownership in major projects.
Canada cannot become a global energy superpower while federal policies continue to stand in the way of getting our energy to the world. Repealing the tanker ban is an important step toward securing better prices for our resources and building a stronger, more prosperous Canada.

Strathcona Resources is proposing to ship up to 250,000 barrels of Canadian oil a day by rail to Prince Rupert and then on to overseas markets.
Only one thing stands in the way: Mark Carney's tanker ban.
Let’s create more 🇨🇦 jobs, get better prices for our resources, and be less dependent on the U.S. by voting YES to Conservative MP @DMcKenzieCPC's bill on Wednesday to scrap the tanker ban and put Canada first.

Thanks to @MikeLakeMP for highlighting the need to make the disability savings accounts simpler and better known for families who need them.
Too much paperwork and confusion now. It took us multiple trips to the branch and a massive pile of forms to set ours up.
Most never get through all the red tape. Parents of children with disabilities have enough to think about. Let’s make it hassle-free to save for their kids’ future.

The promise of Canada is worth fighting for.
Now our focus must be on results in people’s lives: affordable food and homes, safe streets, strong borders, and less immigration.
And may God keep our land glorious and free.
