A lot of new people here lately, so a proper intro.
I'm Dhaval. For 3 years I was a red carpet photographer, shooting premieres and celebrity events from the photo pit. You learn a lot about people when you get one second to make them look at your lens.
Today I'm a founder, building something in stealth. I'll share more when it's ready!
The rest of me:
• SoCal dad of 3, living in San Diego
• Bears fan, for better or worse 😅🐻⬇️
• I run a lot of my day through AI agents
• Still shoot when I can especially for fun 📸
What I post here: AI and startups, SoCal life, and the occasional story from the photo pit.
If you're building something, shooting something, or a fellow Bears fan, say hi 👋🏾

Last night Caleb Williams said even during the Jordan Era, Chicago was a Bears town. He’s right. I was the Chicago Tribune columnist in 1998. The ‘85 Bears were and still are bigger for more people in Chicago than even MJ’s NBA team.

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

There are now over 260 U.S. cities where starter homes average over $1M, up from 80 pre-COVID, says @RyanSerhant.
"The first-time starter price before COVID — there were 80 cities in the United States where a starter home was $1M and above. And that was a lot."
"Today, it's just over 260 cities. Where a starter home is $1M and above. So $1M no longer means you made it, it's now just the entry price."
He says the real estate market is worse than he previously would have thought possible:
"We're going to do less in home sales this year in the United States than we ever thought. September had fewer pending contracts in any single month in 30 years."
Jordi: "Worse than '08 and 2000?"
"In terms of pending contracts, yeah, absolutely. Because rates have spiked — they're up a hundred basis points YoY."
