thinking about a new kind of film studio built on 2 foundational forces:
Through Technology
> Reinvent how we watch
> Rethink how we interact
> Redefine distribution
Through Philosophy
> Embrace optimism
> Seed progress-driving memes
> Craft iconic aesthetics
Technology changes the medium
Philosophy changes the meaning
hollywood feels dead inside in a lot of ways
we’re trying to push the limits of what comes after movies
we want to make something that excites us, because no one is giving it to us, so we decided to create it ourselves
we want something beyond movies
a step into the future of an evolving medium
In November we will begin Revery’s first phase, starting with The Day I Met You.
We have spent the past few months defining a new frontier production process and developing our proprietary technology. Now we are putting it into practice by producing our first 4D short film.
This includes volumetrically capturing our actors using 200 cameras for each scene and designing photorealistic 3D environments in which we will integrate them.
We will release a 2D version of the film for cinemas and phones, as well as a fully immersive and interactive experience.
We will organize private screenings in a few cities, followed by Q&As with selected guests, where we will discuss the film, its technology, and more importantly, the ideas behind it.
Exciting times!
I’m joining the 2026 O’Shaughnessy Fellowship!
Thanks to Jim and the @osvllc team for believing in the vision before the path is obvious.
Nothing is taken for granted. Working harder every day to create something truly great.
I'm delighted to welcome @DimitriVallein to the 2026 @osvllc Fellowship!
the great thing about those utopian short films is that they show humanity a desirable future
but they leave out what actually gets us there: a real philosophy of progress,
and usually lack a compelling story everyone can relate to
that’s what we’re focusing on
telling stories about futures
so compelling
people start building them
so the life of the son
need not be the same
as the life of the father
“We are only at the beginning of a future that is full of possibilities we can only vaguely imagine.
The future looks brilliant to me, filled with great opportunity and wonders beyond our imaginations.
The more convincing it can be to the viewer, the more they might say ‘Wow, that might really happen someday.’”
— Robert McCall
Both of my VR films have been officially selected for RENDR Festival 2027!
imagine when @DavidDeutschOxf’s ideas escape books and become mainstream culture
one movie can reach hundreds of millions of people
we could plant the seeds of an entire civilization’s future in people’s imaginations
working on it every day
you can say ‘they are just making films’
fine
films are an amazing benevolent trojan horse to plant new dynamic seeds in culture and cultivate a new OS of humanity
give us time :^)

so many sci-fi movies to create
so few people making them
mimetic behavior is so strong
that Silicon Valley attracts
the most talented, creative minds
telling stories is one of our best ways
to prototype new futures
for the next generation
futures that are neither dystopian
nor anti-technology
and give us a glimpse
into the beginning of infinity

The poor dreamer
falls asleep
with visions
The true dreamer
wakes and walks
to see if the visions are real
every great myth is an operating system for behavior
religion, nations, ideologies, startups, art movements
all begin as shared hallucinations that become coordination technology
