Effective health financing requires more than budget allocations. Discussions with @BWParliament highlighted the importance of scrutinising health expenditure, monitoring implementation and ensuring public resources translate into measurable improvements in healthcare.
From oversight to results: @BWParliament and @ECA_OFFICIAL explored closer cooperation on health financing, public financial management and parliamentary capacity, including a proposed joint work plan to strengthen accountability in #Botswana.
From dialogue to action: The Government of #Botswana and @ECA_OFFICIAL endorsed a Joint Technical Working Group on health financing reform, chaired by the Minister of Finance and co-chaired by the Minister of Health, to advance coordinated implementation.
A 100-day action plan will guide the next phase of Botswana's health financing reforms, focusing on fiscal sustainability, results-based budgeting, National Health Insurance, data coordination and stronger implementation capacity. #InvestingInHealth
