In our latest @edchoice @MorningConsult survey of K-12 teachers (9/25-10/7), these numbers jumped out to me in light of all the current attention - at least in our neck of the woods - on the new federal education tax credit.
> Awareness is understandably low. Less than one-fourth of teachers (23%) said they had heard "a great deal" or "a lot" about the new federal tax credit, while 30% had heard nothing at all.
> Support for states opting in is substantial. After receiving a brief description of the tax credit: 70% supported their state participating, including 67% of NEA members and 71% of AFT members. The contrast between union member responses and union leadership’s public positions is worth watching.
