The key Jordi Fernandez adjustment that unlocked Nets’ best performance of season

Asked Mikel Brown Jr. if he felt last night was his most complete game thus far:
“It’s just the expectation I hold myself to. Down the stretch, I had a couple of turnovers I can clean up… But this is my standard I’m supposed to be playing at, and I can do better than this."
Jordi Fernandez said he was planning to put Julius Randle back in to close last night's game, but Randle said to keep the same five in after the Nets went on a run:
"I called [Julius] to sub in, and then we [extended the lead] to 10 or 11 points, and he tells me to just let them roll... A vet of Julius' [caliber], how important he is to us; I think that was huge."
Terance Mann had high praise for Mikel Brown Jr. after last night’s win:
“I could see Mikel being an All-Star, easily.”

Final: Nets 114, Hornets 104
Porter: 26 pts, 9 reb, 8/17 FG
Randle: 22 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast, 7/13 FG
Brown: 18 pts, 2 reb, 4 ast, 6/11 FG
Traore: 16 pts, 4 reb, 2 ast, 7/11 FG
Wolf: 12 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 4/6 FG
Solid win for Brooklyn while receiving contributions across the board. Several nice adjustments from Jordi Fernandez.
Chaney Johnson has played nine minutes tonight, Keon Ellis has played 10, and Noah Clowney left in the third with an injury.
And the Nets lead the Hornets 111-100 with two minutes left.
All three can provide value in different areas, but Jordi will have to make some decisions moving forward. The Nets need a more diverse offensive attack.
Danny Wolf might not be Chaney Johnson on defense, but he's not terrible there. And man, it's looked like a world of difference on offense.
Both could provide value to this Nets rotation moving forward.
Day'Ron Sharpe just rejected Grayson Allen at the rim. Danny Wolf grabs it and goes coast-to-coast for an and-one.
That extends the Nets' lead to 10 with 3:49 remaining.
Could be a game-deciding sequence.
MPJ just hit three straight threes to extend the Nets' lead to nine. He was due for a heat check.
Very big fourth-quarter buckets there.
Terance Mann replaces Brown after the rookie's latest turnover led to a Hornets transition bucket.
Mikel is up to 18 points and four assists on 6/11 shooting, but he also has four turnovers, two of which came in the fourth quarter.
Ball security is an area for growth for him, but he's looked great for most of his minutes tonight.
Danny Wolf has provided a spark that the Nets' offense sorely needed. He's got eight points and two assists on 3/4 from the field and 2/3 from three in nine minutes.
Looks confident shooting the ball.
This has been Mikel Brown's best game of the season. He's got 15 points on 5/9 FG, 2/4 3P and 3/4 FT in just 17 minutes at the end of the third
Need to clean up the turnovers, but he's made some highlight-reel plays and looks comfortable with the ball in his hands.
The Nets have done a good job on him, but this has been an uncharacteristically awful Brandon Miller game.
He's 1/11 from the field and 0/7 from three.
