MORE MARKETS FOR IOWA CORN. MORE AMERICAN BIOFUELS.
Today, I joined @MikeNaigIA, Acting Under Secretary Michelle Bekkering, and the @ADMupdates team in Cedar Rapids to see American agriculture at work and announce new opportunities for our farmers.
This facility processes approximately 750,000 bushels of corn every day, turning American crops into food, feed, and fuel for customers here at home and around the world.
Under @POTUS, we are building on that strength:
✅ Reached an initial deal with Mexico that could unlock a $1.5 BILLION market opportunity for U.S. ethanol.
✅ Announced $10 MILLION for Iowa’s Working Lands Water Quality Project to support conservation on working farms through RCPP.
✅ Delivering more than $1 BILLION in farm safety net payments to Iowa producers this month with increased reference prices from the Working Families Tax Cuts Act.
We’re also expanding American fertilizer production through FIELDS, including a project right here in Iowa, and building the $8 BILLION Harvest Fuel Relief Program to help producers facing higher costs.
Thank you to the Iowa farmers and workers who keep this country fed and fueled. @USDA has your back.

Lobbyists @SmallRefineries claim that MORE #RFS demand destruction holds down “gasoline and diesel prices.” But here’s what really happened after they got another 1.76 billion exempted credits at the expense of farmers and #biofuel producers:
Last week’s Export Exchange, which concluded Saturday, provided RFA staff the opportunity to connect with global distillers grains buyers and share expert insight on US ethanol and coproducts. We were proud to cosponsor this biennial event. #ExEx26
RFA is in Seattle this week, co-sponsoring Export Exchange 2026 and working to make new connections. Two staff members, Ed Hubbard and Scott Richman, will each lead parts of the General Session this afternoon. #ExEx26
RFA’s @themadtadder and @Schultzyiowa took part in an Ag & Energy Roundtable this afternoon in Nebraska with @ENERGY @SecretaryWright, an event that also included most of the state’s congressional delegation. Hepner was at the table for the conversation.
RFA’s @themadtadder and @Schultzyiowa visited @GPREINC in York, Neb., today and attended the @ENERGY rollout of a proposed Emissions Value Request process for the 45Z fuel production tax credit. There, they met with DOE officials and had a chance to visit with GPRE leaders.
RFA welcomes the DOE guidance, and we will continue working with DOE to further refine the process and better accommodate existing commercial ethanol facilities.

Just announced a big new American Farmer First proposal while I was in Peosta, Iowa. As promised, the Trump EPA today is proposing 100% REALLOCATION for the additional 2025 Small Refinery Exemption volumes for the amount that exceeded estimates in the “Set 2” Rule. This move follows through once again on the Trump Admin’s commitment to help open new markets for American farmers. More here: epa.gov/newsreleases/while-i…

We thank @EPA and @POTUS for proposing reallocation of the RFS volumes recently waived via small refinery exemptions. While we believe most of these exemptions were unjustified, this reallocation plan will help offset demand loss for ethanol producers and farmers. We urge swift finalization so we have the certainty we need heading into 2027.

Great having @epaleezeldin join us at Big River United Energy in Dyersville yesterday! We toured the facility & talked about what Iowa farmers & biofuels producers need right now.
We need to do everything we can to strengthen demand for homegrown biofuels, expand markets, and lower costs at the pump.
I appreciate Administrator Zeldin working with me to protect the Renewable Fuel Standard and ensure strong biofuels blending targets.
I'll keep pushing for policies that put Iowa farmers first, including making sure refinery exemptions don’t reduce demand for Iowa biofuels & getting permanent year-round E15 across the finish line!
