@JDVance endorses the proposition that the adminisration has strayed from the vow to "Put America First." Who's on first?

From an interview I gave in Seoul in April. I have been saying this in media interviews since the spring.
Korea Times, April 8, 2026: "The conflict in the Middle East could prove costly for Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections, a former senior Trump administration official warned Wednesday, cautioning that the crisis risks pulling U.S. President Donald Trump's attention away from the economic issues critical to securing his political base.
Fred Fleitz, a former chief of staff of the U.S. National Security Council, said the war could complicate the political landscape as the midterms approach.
“I think the midterms are going to be very hard for Republicans to hold the House,” Fleitz told The Korea Times, Wednesday.
He urged the Trump administration to refocus on domestic priorities, particularly the economy, to maintain support among his base as well as independents.
“The president and his team really need to double down right now, reassuring the American people and focusing on economic issues,” he said.
Fleitz said international developments risk pulling attention away from that effort.
“These international issues are distracting Trump from what he needs to do to nail down his base and independents,” he said.
He also warned of broader political consequences if Republicans lose control of the House, saying Democrats would likely move quickly to launch investigations and impeachment efforts, which could make it harder for the administration to govern."
President Trump needs to end the Iran War now.

I was tasked by @FLOTUS @melaniatrump to act as the lone American media representative on the ground reporting on the humanitarian mission in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky.
I traveled with delegations from Russia and Ukraine—guided by the Russian military—to the frontline war-torn city to observe the evacuation of 800 people who have been trapped in the crossfire since the town was captured in 2022.
Traveling through Russia, Crimea and, finally, occupied Ukraine, we witnessed the tragedies that have been brought on by Vladimir Putin’s invasion.
The mission was a success. @newsmax

China is on the ballot, and the stakes go far beyond Election Day.
Fentanyl, farmland, trade, security: Beijing is a midterm issue. What happens when the next Congress takes office?

WHOA: Democrat Rep. Haley Stevens tells Scott Jennings that she’s receiving a MASSIVE outpouring of gratitude and support from DEMOCRATS for endorsing Republican Mike Rogers over Abdul El-Sayed.
Democrats are privately thanking Stevens for having the courage to do what she did.
STEVENS: “At the end of the day, I made a decision.”
“And you know what? I’m hearing from a ton of people, and maybe they don’t want to come forward, but I’m hearing from a TON of people all over who are agreeing and are thanking me for just saying what I feel.”
“And they’re Democrats by the way, Scott!”
There are many Democrats stuck in the party who want to do what Stevens did but are too scared to do so publicly.

Last week, just hours before @alexsalvinews departed for Moscow, we attended a briefing with President @ZelenskyyUa in Kyiv.
We asked Zelenskyy about Oleshky, but he emphasized the need for operational silence given the humanitarian mission's fragility. As Zelenskyy has since stated, the ceasefire “clearly demonstrates that de-escalation steps are possible” when Moscow is pressured to take concrete steps.
It also serves as a reminder that this terrible war could end if Russia stopped its attacks or just went home.
Unbelievable statement by a senior Dem member of Congress over a fellow member who made a difficult decision because of her personal beliefs & principles. When Republicans like Liz Cheney took similar action, I don't remember Schumer accusing them of "despicable betrayals."

This is a despicable betrayal from Rep. Stevens.
Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul El-Sayed, because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.
