Teslarati might be the worst propaganda rag ever. They fall for the stupidest thing. These guys won't survive the AI/deepfake era.
It's an upsell. He literally took a decision that resulted in people dying for an upsell. He is the devil.
When asked how to restore service to Ukraine, Elon Musk reportedly told U.S. officials to upgrade their subscription. trib.al/GDJ0AzY
1- this is not true. There's no evidence of that.
2- if you really cared about "democracy", you wouldn't spend billions on elections for anything other than advocating for the end of money in politics.
3- you'd never do any of that because now your entire business model relies on buying politicians.
Elon Musk is trying to outright buy the midterm elections for $500 million because he is afraid of democracy. Period.
My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.
On the surface, this is a good quarter for BYD. Profit is up 28%, revenue is growing again, and the export strategy is clearly working. BYD exporting more cars in a quarter than Tesla sells worldwide would have sounded absurd just three years ago.
But we don't think it's as clean as the headline number suggests.
BYD added over ¥83 billion worth of inventory in nine months while its sales were down 3.9% year-to-date. Receivables are up, supplier IOUs are up, and cash is way down. That's what it looks like when you push a lot of cars into a long overseas pipeline and wait to get paid for them. It works as long as those cars sell at decent prices. If they don't, those impairment charges we're already seeing get a lot bigger.
And the domestic business isn't getting easier. BYD is selling fewer cars in China than a year ago while it now employs over 1 million people. The cuts to R&D spending are a sign the company is looking for savings somewhere.
These are all signs of BYD's business changing. It will take a while to settle, but I think they're in a great spot, with the switch to their Blade battery 2.0 virtually over and new capacity coming from Hungary, Thailand, and Brazil.

Another thing. Often AV service area maps advertised are kind of fake- they don’t actually go to everywhere in the polygon the provider publishes. Robotaxi Houston is probably by far the most egregious ‘fake’ AV service area I’ve seen
I get they were doing it so they could get the starship shape but again this is another poor experience point
FSD had nowhere to go? Come on. This is a good example of a crash where FSD is technically not responsible, but it was a contributing factor.
An attentive driver not on FSD would have seen this coming and either moved to the left lane or slowed down.

Credit where it's due: Tesla's driverless miles are growing fast, 30% in a single week, and Austin now has a real Tesla fleet carrying the public without anyone in the driver's seat. A year ago, that wasn't the case.
But "never a real contest" is a strange thing to say when you're behind by 7x on weekly miles and 87x on cumulative miles, and your one win depends on comparing your newest week to your rival's data from last spring.
What stands out to us is the type of autonomy Tesla is deploying. In 2020, Musk wrote that "Waymo is impressive, but a highly specialized solution," and that Tesla's approach was "a general solution." For years, Tesla fans dismissed Waymo as a geofenced system that only worked in mapped areas with lots of restrictions.
Now look at Tesla's Robotaxi: geofenced, no highways, avoiding railroad crossings, taking 70 minutes for 10-minute trips, and limited by hours because the software isn't ready for anything with "the slightest possible risk." By Musk's own old definition, that's a highly specialized solution. Waymo is the one driving on freeways now.
Musk declares Tesla Robotaxi win over Waymo, but Waymo still drives 7x more electrek.co/2026/10/27/musk-… by @fredlambert
Does anyone hate democracy more than Elon Musk?
NEW: The group behind Cornel West's 2024 ballot push was wholly funded through Elon Musk's dark money network, according to Sludge's review of tax documents. readsludge.com/2026/10/26/mu…
Pure garbage. As expected. Elon Musk has no taste.

Elon Musk is using Ken Paxton (the attack dog he has purchased) to go after Sam Altman, his top business and geopolitical rival. He didn't even wait until after the election.

Elon won't be able to shake off the Russian-agent allegation.
Now the Kremlin is openly giving him the thumbs-up.
Hey friends, I'm forwarding this as per Elon's request.
I think he thinks you are dumb enough to believe it, or he wants you to know that he is a disingenuous guy willing to lie to get a corrupt politician he owns elected. Not sure which it is...
Hey @elonmusk, do you also believe that 'the Democratic People's Republic of Korea' is a democracy because it's in the name? Or do you pick and choose which fascist propaganda you believe in?
Trump saying that someone "wouldn't do anything wrong", it's a giant red flag.
You can smell the fear with every dollar he spends.
For years, Musk has acted like the rule of law doesn't apply to him.
He bought political influence at the cost of what little was left of US democracy. It kept him from repercussions, but it also sealed his fate. Now he has to spend nonstop to keep the people he buys elected.
Elon's biggest fear is that honest people, such as James Talarico, get elected. Elon needs people he can buy, and he needs a culture where that's OK.
