We’re incredibly proud of our staff and the progress we’ve made together. ❤️
We know there’s more work to do, and we’ll keep building on these improvements.
We found that @Glosfire has made significant progress since its last inspection.
Our latest inspection of the service highlights its improvements in culture, leadership, fairness and diversity, while identifying areas where further work is needed.

ALT A colour-coded inspection grades table showing five possible ratings: Outstanding, Good, Adequate, Requires Improvement and Inadequate. No areas are graded Outstanding, Requires Improvement or Inadequate. Five judgment areas are rated Good: understanding fire and risk; public safety through fire regulation; best use of resources and future affordability; right people, right skills; and ensuring fairness and diversity. Five areas are rated Adequate: preventing fire and risk; responding to fires and emergencies; responding to major incidents; promoting values and culture; and leading people effectively.

We are currently in attendance at a fire in Church Road, Churchdown. The fire is causing a lot of smoke in the area and we advise people in the area to keep windows and doors closed while we respond.
As the weather gets warmer, we’re reminding everyone to Be Water Aware. Many drowning incidents happen after slips or falls, not planned swims. Stay back from the edge, avoid alcohol near water, and know what to do in an emergency.

Would you be able to spot a fake plug?
Some counterfeit plugs look convincing but can seriously increase the risk of fire. Our Trading Standards team have shared some handy tips below 👇
⚠️ Counterfeit plugs pose serious safety issues. ⚠️
Know the signs of a fake:
- insulated earth (top) pin
- marked with a 'CE' mark (the CE mark does not apply for plugs)
- pins of different lengths to normal
- difficulty pushing plug into socket
