Gorica ➡️ RC Stuttgart

My Akali Masterclass is finally complete. I go over the following: - Deck Philosophy - Deckbuilding - Gameplan and Strategy - Common Scenarios - Sideboarding - Detailed Matchup Guides - VODs with commentary (3 currently) The guide is adjusted for a post-ban meta and will be updated throughout Set 4 after more major tournaments. I've put a lot of work into this one. Enjoy :) metafy.gg/guides/view/gorica…

Akali (not) good

This is super awesome - TLDR: - Points system will be implemented, placing you in a rank (bronze, silver, etc...) based on your points - Earn points from placements at Challenges (skirmishes), Showdowns, Regionals, Continentals, scaling with how high you place - High ranks (gold, platinum) will get priority registration for Regionals/Continentals - Top 50 ranked players each set get a Continental invite - Top 50 ranked players each YEAR get free invites to every Regional/Continental for the next year, and qualify for Worlds - Regional winners qualify for Worlds This addresses a couple of huge pain points this year with a lot of players: 1. Regional invites can be earned from strong finishes at locals/showdowns/regionals, so you don't have to be an eventbrite goat to get into these events 2. There is now an incentive to place highly even outside of top 64, as you're awarded points for top 128, 256, etc...

I know I'm bitching about Riven but Nam played extremely well, I don't want to take away from that - he played around all my outs perfectly Amazing player. I was shocked we met again in finals after a tie in round 5 🤣 GGs and congrats brother

Finished 2nd place at the Sacramento Showdown and securing my 3rd best of Akali Went thru the demon bracket against 6 Rivens total, so overall very happy with taking it this far The matchup is very bad, will need to figure out how to make it consistently better going forward

"just hold bro, skill issue" yeah let me hold against a buffed Riven who's stunning my biggest guy and potentially a sword that's +3 which is permanently on the board! Very fair!

This Riven deck is such an abomination lol

Finished day 1 of the Sacramento Showdown at 6-0-1 I somehow always tie a set in day 1 in all my runs lol I just want to be (actually) undefeated for once All good tho we win out and top 8 tmr, breakers are actually good this time 🥳

I'll be at the Sacramento Showdown this weekend, come say hi if you're there :D

Okay this is pretty awesome. Having a system change like this be playtested at a larger scale than they normally can internally is such a great idea. Gathers tons of data + you get player feedback

Not sure yet if I like this or not, but the timing of the announcement is the main issue We had a very clear prizing structure when they announced it in July, and some people have been prepping their OGN/SFD metal decks since then. Now they're simply cooked with 3 weeks left before the event?

I guess we're playing One Piece now 😅

Ended up going 8-4 at RQLA Overall still really happy with my list and how Akali performed. Seeing so many more players make Day 2/Top 64 with the legend was awesome to see Huge congrats to @tempete2laneige on the top 8 with the deck! You played like a beast I think the list is pretty close to solved for Set 4. I'll be back to the lab for the RCs and Set 5🧑‍🍳

ITS JOEVER

Finished day 1 at 6-2 with Akali Played like a chud in my losses but we still in it. LOCKING IN FOR TOMORROW
