🧵 I have seen and know a number of people considering applications for jobs at Holyrood. I’d urge people to think long and hard before applying.
Whilst such jobs can open doors, provide opportunities etc, there are risks. See this story in March👇

The SPCB has made the wrong decision here.
MSPs getting a 20% pay rise whilst people suffer from stagnant wages, stretched public services, and a housing crisis?
This is completely unjustified.
It’s nice to wake up to good news. Don’t waste this opportunity, Democrats. #Midterms2026

I'm 40 years old, and graduated from university in the summer of 2008. Throughout my entire adult life the prevailing narrative has been about cuts, "painful" years, and ever-increasing inequality.
And mainstream politicians wonder why people are so angry.

Shell could fund the Acorn carbon capture project with 54 hours worth of its profit - but it wont.
Doesn't that say something about Shell's belief in carbon capture...?
BREAKING: Shell announces insane profits of £8.1BN in just the last 3 months.
Shell KNEW about climate breakdown for 60 YEARS and yet they HID the science.
That's why we brought a restaging of their 1960s offices right outside their global HQ.

Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

90,000 homes in Scotland and the north of England remain without power after flooding and high winds caused by Storm Boelo.
Clean up efforts have been hampered by strong winds which have continued to gust up to 85 miles an hour. Some schools in Scotland will stay closed today because they don't have heating or water. The Met Office has issued another yellow warning for wind on Tuesday for much of Scotland and other northern areas.
