Today's the big day for the class of 2028.
If you get a call, great. If you don't, it's not the end of the world.
When days come up like this in life, I like to think of this story called The Farmer's Luck.
There's an old farmer whose horse runs off one night. His neighbors come by and say, "That's terrible, what bad luck." The farmer just says, "Maybe."
A few days later the horse comes wandering back, except now it's got three wild horses following behind it. Neighbors say, "Wow, what good luck!" The farmer says, "Maybe."
Not long after, the farmer's son is out trying to break one of the wild horses so it can be ridden. He gets thrown off and breaks his leg pretty bad. Neighbors say, "That's awful, what bad luck." The farmer says, "Maybe."
Then the army comes through the village, pulling every able bodied young man off to go fight in a war. They get to the farmer's son, see his leg, and pass him by. Neighbors say, "What good luck!" The farmer says, "Maybe." And so on and so forth.
The moral of the story is you don't know what today means for your future yet. Keep working. Stay ready. The right fit will find you.
