We were honored to host Iraqi poet and scholar @chomahardi this year.
We are grateful for the support of our partners & donors who make it possible for us to bring impressive individuals like Choman Hardi to @josefkorbel through @IGLI_DU.
#SiéStories
Important and fascinating thread from @Farida_N on kin and family structure and the impact of colonialism on our understanding of family.
The structure of families in Africa are completely different from the Eurocentric version we are taught in colonial school.
In #Togo for most ethnic groups, the word cousin doesn’t exist at all. The paternal cousins are our siblings and the maternal ones are our uncles.

With the center-right now in control, Sweden’s “feminist foreign policy” is gone.
As @marieeberry, @HilaryMatfess, and @Farida_N write, the development is an opportunity to rethink what a feminist foreign policy can and must do.

In conversation with the marvellous @drstellanyanzi tomorrow at @chechebooks. I taught some of Stella's work to my class at the @sie_center and we all loved it.
Happy to see these datasets -- which are part of IGLI's research program -- out!
Check out a comprehensive list of all gender-focused legal reforms implemented after wars in Bosnia, Colombia, Iraq, Nepal, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka.

I don’t think I yet have the words for last week because it was everything. Joy, pain, anger, misery, love, exhaustion, and so much dreaming and caring. So grateful to have been a part of this year’s #IGLI2022. It was GLORIOUS. As glorious as the sun that was shining down on us.
#IGLI2022 is a wrap 🌟
I don't yet have the words to express the fullness of my joy at being surrounded by 20+ courageous activists & facilitators for a week in Colorado.
Right now, I'm swimming in gratitude for all who came & built this community. We are stronger together.

On my wayyyy!☺️
We start #IGLI2022-our 4th Summer Institute-on Monday! The first participants have arrived, I have half of Costco in my living room, and I am remembering how much energy it takes to pull off an international institute with participants from 18 countries.🙏 to @sie_center team 💛
