🛢️ Russian diesel exports threaten prices A potential rebound in Russian #diesel exports in November could reshape global trade flows and put renewed pressure on Atlantic basin prices. Russian diesel exports in October are now more than three times September levels, supported by improving refinery runs. Higher exports could help restore supply to the Mediterranean and Brazil, where reduced Russian availability has increased reliance on US and Indian barrels. Brazil alone could potentially regain around 146,000 barrels per day of Russian diesel, easing demand for US Gulf Coast exports and allowing more domestic inventory replenishment ahead of winter. While additional supply could weigh on diesel and gasoil valuations, jet fuel markets are unlikely to see comparable relief. Persistent supply constraints could widen jet fuel premiums over diesel across Europe and the US. Stay ahead of the market with #Kpler Insight: okt.to/K7wcYE

📉 WTI Midland faces growing competition in Europe  WTI Midland is facing increasing competition in Northwest Europe as cheaper North Sea #crude and returning Saudi barrels give European buyers more choice. For December loading, Midland retains a $2/bbl landed-value advantage over Ekofisk, down $4.55/bbl week on week. Lower freight costs could offer US exporters some relief, with greater tanker availability expected to stabilise transatlantic rates before pushing them lower, helping Midland remain competitive in European markets. Kpler’s Arbitrage Tool tracks these shifts by comparing forward delivered prices across crude grades and destinations, highlighting where export opportunities remain. Iraq’s crude exports rebound towards 3 million bpd Iraq’s crude exports are staging a strong recovery, with Basrah loadings expected to average near 3.00 million barrels per day in October, up from 2.58 million in September and a May trough of just 98,000 barrels per day. The rebound highlights the resilience of Middle Eastern #oil flows despite heightened maritime security risks. However, increasingly opaque tanker movements, particularly along routes towards Europe, continue to complicate visibility over regional #crude shipments.  Note: Figures are based on the latest available Kpler data and are subject to change as new information becomes available. If a vessel appears where it shouldn’t be, is it concealment or just caught in a jammed region? GNSS interference and deliberate AIS spoofing can produce near-identical tracks, but they call for very different compliance responses. Atlantic crude loses ground as Asia turns to Gulf supply As Asian refiners increasingly favour Middle Eastern crude, Atlantic Basin producers face growing pressure to find alternative buyers. The key signal to watch? TD22 freight. Rates need to ease from around $35/bbl to $30/bbl for Midland to compete with Middle Eastern crude into Asia. Meanwhile, lower freight costs into Europe are improving transatlantic economics, putting further pressure on North Sea crude differentials. With long-haul economics still challenging, more US barrels may need to find buyers closer to home. Explore the latest market insights from Kpler: okt.to/b2pPYX

Some of the world's most important trade routes are also among the hardest to monitor. @Airbus and Kpler have signed a strategic agreement to deliver daily satellite vessel detection, providing customers with the ability to verify vessel movements independently of #AIS. The timing matters. Dark vessel activity, AIS manipulation and GNSS interference can create significant gaps in the conventional maritime picture. AIS is mandated by the IMO and remains the backbone of #vessel reporting, visibility and safety across the shipping industry, with Kpler's network capturing billions of these signals every day. Satellite imagery adds a complementary layer, helping tell an area-wide disruption from deliberate evasion and identifying vessels that try to stay hidden. Airbus' SPOT satellites will provide daily high resolution imagery, with advanced AI used to detect vessels both at sea and in port. Together, these capabilities will provide a clearer and more reliable view of maritime activity, including vessels that may not be visible through AIS alone. This partnership adds another powerful layer to how Kpler helps organisations understand how commodities, cargoes and vessels move around the world, so they can trade smarter.
