Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding a hearing on their proposed repeal of greenhouse gas standards for power plants. Several members of our staff are testifying in opposition to this proposal.
Liz Scott: "EPA saying that reducing carbon emissions wouldn't have an impact on climate change is contrary to the conclusions drawn by scientists, researchers and experts in the field of climate change."
Tiffany Nichols: "Our #StateOfTheAir Report continues to show that millions of Americans are exposed to unhealthy levels of ozone and particle pollution... Climate-driven increases in extreme heat, wildfire smoke and air pollution are threatening lung health across the country."
Diana Van Vleet: "Summers have become awful... My children can’t go out to play most summer days. In addition to the heat & bad air quality, ticks are popping up everywhere. I did not let my children play in the woods, which was one of the things I loved most growing up."
