In the past "cool kids ministry" looked down on @Awana Clubs as "old fashion." Fast forward to today & parents r getting kids out of screens & into tactile experiences where kids memorize the Bible & play games. Suddenly Awana U.S. is cool again & we grew by 81,000 kids in 2025.
The downstream implications of this post for people who rely on Google search for their business is fascinating. Worth paying attention to.
The collapse of Reddit will be studied.
After reporting earnings, its stock collapsed 30% in a single day.
It's down 44% in 2 weeks.
But the most important detail is what was revealed in that earnings call.
The CEO said AI is killing Google search.
People no longer get sent to Reddit from Google. They merely get their answers from the AI Mode itself.
Even Google confirmed this themselves with their disastrous results - AI mode is cannibalising their search business.
Pretty soon, no one will visit Reddit voluntarily. Its traffic will continue to crater.
The worst part?
Reddit isn't alone. There are millions of companies and publishers that rely on search traffic.
That's what happens when you rely on a single funnel for discovery.
Minnesota & Indiana — Two 60 Yard field goals in 28 seconds to go to over time. Never seen anything like this before. What a game!
Went out for a walk in the Tennessee hills this morning and sat down for a moment & caught Boomer restin & sunnin as well. God’s creation is just glorious. We’re not worthy — we praise your name King Jesus!
Well y’all, my daughter-in-law is going into labor. Looks like I’m gonna be a grandpa very soon. So excited for this remarkable couple!
This pic of my highly introverted wife praying a passionate prayer over a group of Kenyan public school children (some Muslim) deeply moves me.
Be faithful. Be humble. Be like Jesus.
I just love living in Tennessee.
My coworker spent one year in Tennessee.
He came back to Tokyo two months ago.
He is not the same man.
He says "y'all" in meetings. To our boss.
He holds the door for the entire floor. Twelve people. Every morning.
He asked the convenience store clerk how her day was going. She had to sit down.
He calls every man "bud." Including the CEO.
He refuses to describe anything under three hours away as "far."
He waves at drivers who let him cross. One driver waved back and almost hit a pole.
Last week, he told a junior employee, "I'm proud of you."
She went to the restroom and cried for ten minutes.
We thought it would wear off.
It didn't. It's spreading.
Three people in accounting now say "y'all."
The junior employee holds the door.
The convenience store clerk asks HIM how his day is going.
Tennessee, I don't know what you did to him.
Please do it to the rest of us.
The barn quilt is finally done! The H is for my neighbor’s barn. Hesson Farms. It’s gonna go right here.
Good leaders not only listen, but are also curious…learners…and ask loads of questions. What a great example that led to impact.
#Titans ST coach John Fassel said Julius Chestnut and James Williams Sr suggested the call that led to the blocked punt for a TD. "One of my strengths is my ability to listen to the players."
