Thanks to our marketing team for making sure the bottom was in for the day with this email. Seriously though - make sure you know what your prop firm's policy on halts are. These are huge risks for us. You can always put a stop or T/P order in the book at a price a couple tenths away from a halt to make sure you're out of the market.

Jane Street, Citadel, and Susquehanna have bots crawling websites to find out election returns before CNN, Fox, and NBC know them. They then take that to their colocated servers to get the market to move where they think is fair value - all before it prints on your screen. There are no technical moves. There's no support that can't be breached and then reverse. There's no levels of resistance that must hold. Trading tonight is just silly. But we're all adults... so have at it.

Just some other added context so we're not only cheering the big gains. In our live-market PRO+ accounts, 14 traders made five figures today with this being the most (but two others above $50k), while just 9 traders lost five figures (with the most being -$13k). We could probably learn as much from the down days as this one. If you're seeing the market clearly on a day (78% win rate) and controlling your downside (taking losses when your entry/exit might be wrong), then let that day run. That's how you get to $143k in gains. If everything feels like a struggle, and your win rate is 0% (as the -$13k trader's was), then maybe call the day early or drastically cut your size until you get a couple winners. This is why the Scorecard is such a great tool. I get it. All this is easy to say in hindsight and hard to do in real time.
