Crystal Lake never had a choice about Jason. Victor Miller won back the rights to his 1980 Friday the 13th screenplay, just that one, so the series could only be the mother's story. A movie can leave a killer in the dark. Eight hours can't. Think they had one? Make your case.

One Green Arrow book just took the comic shop crown back from Marvel for a week. Nation, is the Absolute line the best thing on the stands right now, or is Marvel one big event away from taking it right back? nitter.cf/KnowItAllNewsHQ/status…
DC took back the comic shop lead: 39.98% of sales for Oct. 20 to 26 to Marvel's 31.56%, with Absolute Green Arrow #6 doing the lifting, per Bleeding Cool. Is the Absolute line why you're buying DC again? @DCOfficial Full story on Know-It-All Nation, link in bio.

I've been a full-time critic for almost 8 years. I watch and talk about movies for a living. This IS my dream. Coincidentally, my YouTube channel first took off with the release of Waitit's Thor Ragnaork! Thanks Taika for helping me achieve my dream of being a critic!
Marvel filmmaker Taika Waititi has called critics "sad lost souls who couldn't achieve their dreams" after his latest film, Klara and the Sun, premiered with negative reviews. bit.ly/47UP8vK

Crystal Lake feels like Friday the 13th because of the craft: the POV shots and that sounder. And American Horror Story: 1984 is The Orville to Crystal Lake's Star Trek: Discovery. One gets to be an homage. The other has to answer to the 1980 movie. Which did it better?

The VisionQuest Client told Vision he came back to life without his soul, then offered to sell him a heart. Marvel printed that pitch in 1989, in the four issues this show is named after, and the one man who could give the heart back said no. Who says yes this time? youtu.be/k6FA0NI-wgk

Replying to @MrKnowItAll
We binged it as soon as it dropped lol Your vid was the first time I actually thought it might be good for weekly episodes, even though I hate waiting But it's unfortunate to not have those weekly theories and discussions

The funniest thing in VisionQuest episodes 5 and 6 is James Spader playing off James Spader. Ultron splits himself into parts of his own personality inside Vision's body, and they're all Spader. Chef's kiss. Who hired Paladin?

Everybody's arguing about whether Crystal Lake should have explained Jason. The real question is whether it ever had a choice. It didn't. The reason is one 1980 screenplay. My Crystal Lake review is up now: youtu.be/IBCsKJ7-ut8 Should they have kept Jason in the dark?

This scene was an absolute blast. Paul had the brilliant idea on set. James and I riffed. Vincenzo madly made room in the schedule as I fled to my office to get it on paper. There was a hot-off-the-presses energy to it. A bit guerrilla. But it was just too good not to do.
Paul Bettany and James Spader discuss bring Paul's idea for an Ultron scene to life in #VisionQuest.

Good point I'm not mad at this discussion. 🤔
Wakanda Forever already built the Wakanda and Namor grudge that fuels Hickman's New Avengers, the room that decides which planets get blown up. Marvel put that name on Yelena's crew at the end of Thunderbolts, and I think that's on purpose. Whose movie is this?

Two Earths touch, both universes are gone, unless one of them gets destroyed first. That's an incursion, and I think it's the engine under Avengers: Doomsday. In New Avengers #21 every hero looked at the button and couldn't do it. Namor did. Who presses it in the movie?

In the Encore scene, Doctor Doom walks into Bruce Banner's cell and tells him he's come to collect him. Collect is the whole character. Thanos collected stones. In Avengers: Doomsday, Doom is collecting the people strong enough to stop him. Who's next on his list?
