I don’t have a dog in this fight, but this was an incomplete pass.
Oh my goodness.
Incredible play here from @BarryMyles_12, who made a big catch and then quickly recovered his own fumble for a touchdown.
Gives the Irish a 35-26 lead over Lakeridge with 9:39 to go.
Just finished my 46th consecutive home football game spent running our baseball-owned concession stand alongside 120+ parent volunteers.
I’ve now personally cooked & wrapped over 9,000 hot dogs in that time span.
Just one of my many strange duties as a head coach 🤣
The whole staff is starting to really take shape! There’s more spots available for anyone in our area!
After the spending the last two years assisting the freshmen team, Kevin Trump has been promoted to the Assistant Pitching Coordinator role, where he’ll work closely with Coach Pepp to handle both the JV and Freshmen pitching staffs!

At some point in the past, I blocked him 🤣
A new captain at the helm 🫡
Jason Kanzler is ready to lead the charge as our new manager. Welcome to Seattle!

Has anyone ever used Qubit’s comms in a pitcher’s hat? We want to be able to speak to our pitcher but this receiver looks like it could be uncomfortable.
The other option (Pitchcom) has a live audio option, but it is real expensive.
I remember @coachklunderwb saying a long while back something to the tune of, “I just think about baseball all the time. I don’t really have any hobbies. Every free moment I get, I spend it thinking about baseball.”
And I’ve never felt more seen.
We’ve had some very bad BSN reps over the years, but huge shoutout to Jenn Wassom, who is PHENOMENAL. She has completely flipped my feelings about BSN since she took over for us last year.

Listening to ball on the radio is peak perfection. Wheels for the Blazers, Niehuas for the Mariners… these guys were my conduit to the experience. I don’t say this as an exaggeration, either: I would rather listen to a good basketball or baseball radio broadcast than watch the actual game.
Replying to @DavidPSamson
@DavidPSamson says MLB no longer needs radio: "We don't need baseball on radio anymore." The former Marlins president predicts on Nothing Personal that "radio will go the way of Kodak and Blockbuster." @JohnMamola has more. #MLB

Okay friends. I need help.
For so many reasons, these are the best pulleys for the cages we have in the high school gym. The internet, chatbots, everyone so far has been unable to find these. They have to be at least 15 years old, possibly older. Where the heck can I find them?
This was a labor of love. Fence sign sponsorship renewals AND 120 solicitations for NEW fence sign sponsors for local businesses. Fingers crossed that we get a bunch!
If you’re going to show up, show up consistently. Don’t be the person that only shows up when it’s convenient for you.

Oh man. Quite possibly the worst moment in my sports fan life. Just ripped my heart out. Freaking Bazardo.
This is a big part of coaching, articulated well here by Shanahan. The crossover to baseball is pretty obvious.
Kyle Shanahan says a 51% analytics recommendation won’t convince him to go for it because he gets one shot, not an hour at a blackjack table
“I don’t want to hear about it if it’s 51% of the time we should go for it.”
“As I always say, I’m not sitting here playing Blackjack for an hour with no one else at the table, and eventually I’ll get 51% of it. Like, I have this one try, and I have a feel for it. I’ve been doing it too long.”
“But what I want to know from him, when it’s not a feel, when it, no, this is 98%. We don’t even need to talk about it. So we don’t need to talk about it. Tell me when it’s that, and I’ll just do it.”
