We're entering the age of superintelligence, and France wants to tax citizens for data usage...
What are they thinking?

The founding team of the Thiel Fellowship hosted a documentary crew for the first and second years of the fellowship, but very few people paid attention to our work then. See the comments for some early videos of teens who would go on to become tech titans. You'll catch a glimpse of what we saw and believed in before anyone else.

We partnered with Suhail to create the brand identity for his new company, Particle.
1/ Excited to announce our new company Particle
This is our first step in a series of models focused on developers.
With particle-1, we focused on token efficiency and managed to keep parity in performance while using ~45% fewer tokens.

Exceptional talent is widely distributed. Permission to use it is not.
We started the Thiel Fellowship to find extraordinary young people and give them the freedom to pursue ambitious ideas.
Fifteen years later, see what they’ve built.
SF Compute CEO @evanjconrad advises AI founders to raise 10X more capital than planned, potentially $1 billion, just to secure compute:
"I would raise as much money as I can. I would take your round and I would add 10X to it. And if I was an investor, I would buy compute instead."
"I would either try to find a big investment grade normal company that I can partner with and use their balance sheet to co-sign on the lease with me, or I would try to raise the biggest round I possibly can, so I’m above the bar."
"If you’re trying to raise a round, I think you should try and raise like a billion dollars. I know. That’s the problem. This is why the article was called End of Startups. I don’t think many people can raise a billion dollar round."
"If you don’t fix the debt problem, most of the portfolios of various venture firms are gonna consolidate or get wiped out, or they will convert into basically GPU clouds."

Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

BlueChip. Built in America.
America made the first electronic computer to win a war.
Now we depend on our greatest adversaries to build the computers that run our economy and defend our nation.
Today, we bring it home.

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
