राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग ने द टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया में 7 अक्टूबर 2026 को प्रकाशित एक अत्यंत गंभीर मीडिया रिपोर्ट का स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है। रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, उत्तर प्रदेश के पीलीभीत जिले के बिसलपुर कोतवाली थाना क्षेत्र के भगौपुर गांव में 18 वर्षीय युवती को उसके 23 वर्षीय साथी बंटी कुमार ने कथित रूप से “सुसाइड पैक्ट” के बहाने धोखे से टॉयलेट क्लीनिंग एसिड पिलाने के लिए मजबूर किया। आरोपी की शादी किसी अन्य महिला से तय होने के बाद यह घटना कथित रूप से हुई। राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग की अध्यक्ष श्रीमती विजया रहाटकर ने उत्तर प्रदेश के पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) को पत्र लिखकर मामले की निष्पक्ष, विस्तृत एवं समयबद्ध जांच, घटना में पूर्व नियोजित साजिश एवं एसिड की खरीद की जांच, सभी भौतिक, चिकित्सकीय एवं फॉरेंसिक साक्ष्यों के संरक्षण तथा कानून के सभी प्रासंगिक प्रावधानों के तहत कठोर कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने को कहा है। आरोपी को पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार किए जाने की सूचना है। आयोग ने पीड़िता को तत्काल विशेषज्ञ चिकित्सकीय एवं पुनर्निर्माण उपचार, सुरक्षा, संवेदनशील तरीके से उसका बयान दर्ज किए जाने, मनोवैज्ञानिक परामर्श तथा नियमानुसार मुआवजा सुनिश्चित करने को भी कहा है। 7 दिनों के भीतर कार्रवाई रिपोर्ट (ATR) मांगी गई है। एसिड हिंसा महिलाओं के जीवन, गरिमा और शारीरिक अखंडता पर गंभीर एवं दीर्घकालिक प्रभाव डालती है। महिलाओं की सुरक्षा और गरिमा की रक्षा से किसी भी स्तर पर समझौता स्वीकार्य नहीं है। #ncw #ncwindia @Uppolice
