I keep seeing it posted both ways. Which makes me think I'm wrong. Is it disk or disc? Because honestly I don't know.

Just imagine the excitement! $1000+ console potentially! Digital only! Back compat for your discs? F* you. Slow release schedule? Sure! Ultra extended cross-gen period? Why not! What a great proposition. I bet it has AI features!

Yeah this totally sucks. They will eventually try to blame this decision on the handheld, but the reality is, they want you spending more money on games, with less consumer choice. Don't take my word for it! Look at the prices of physical vs digital on PSN for older titles.

Perhaps Rockstar didn't know this and that's why they won't sell a physical version of GTA6.

We just shared with our team the realities we need to navigate as we work to reset the XBOX business. We won't succeed by hiding hard truths, nor will we succeed by doing the same thing and expecting different results. See the note here: news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/06/…

Sunday, June 7 is locked in. Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is almost here with a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day Direct. In my first month, I heard clearly that our community values Xbox FanFest. As part of the return of Xbox, we made the decision to bring it back to LA to recognize the players who’ve been with us over the years. Looking forward to celebrating together!
