Last week, a ~95 year old law firm with $2B in rev voted to dissolve after a bunch of rainmakers jumped ship. If they simply *cared* more about their firm, this (likely) wouldn't have happened. Culture *is* a moat.
5 Takeaways From Weil Gotshal's Collapse Weil, you were sleeping: the 95-year-old firm failed to keep up with the prodigious profitability growth of its peers, setting the stage for its downfall. LINK: bit.ly/4eFBbFH

Agreed! Which is why institutions need to consider ZK beyond building blockchains. From interop to proving offchain applications' (not chains) state, from compliance to policy engines -- ZK is the gwei. nitter.cf/NTBro/status/211079155…
"ZK stands for integrity of operations. It's very important in the age of AI to diversify your defenses and ZK gives institutions a new protection class." @gluk64 discusses on @therollupco why ZK is the foundational tech that will connect institutions while elevating trust.

Gen Z will never know what it's like to get an embedded link titled "Lemon Party" and open it during a lecture with 70 people sitting behind you and that's made them soft.

The Oxford comma was always a tacky-tell. Very inelegant punctuation. Now it's also an AI tell. We should ignore, scroll past and gently pity anyone who insists on its usage in a post-AI world.

"Crypto hack" sounds sexier to the normies than "negligent engineer had his machine compromised."

Introducing the definitive guide to ZK in 2026. The year’s biggest questions pointed to ZK: Can we trust AI? Will quantum break encryption? Can private money live on public rails? How do we know what’s real online? Read how in the 2026 ZK Industry Report with @zeroknowledgefm.

not only am i not worried about the crypto community's ability to handle the upcoming ai/quantum threat, i will venture to say that in the next 2 yrs the world will realize crypto is far better prepared for it than the rest of the internet and finance. we've had a trillion dollar *irreversible* honey pot for a decade, producing a far more battletested system and adversarial security culture than pretty much anywhere else on earth.

I am a technology optimist. I believe: 1. decentralization and censorship-resistance (real versions of these properties, not larps) matter to human freedom in the coming age of AI 2. self-sovereign money, implemented by code and maintained through decentralized consensus, is the final form of money. But it needs to be truly decentralized -- cut out every possible weakness, trust assumption, keeper, etc. Of course there will be connectors to the real world - harden those maximally 3. AI will write most smart contract code. Spec-driven development with Formal Verification will be how new contracts are written rigorously. FV will also be crucial to securing all the infra including the blockchain itself 4. AI will harden our surfaces, with some unfortunate hacks in the process, but ultimately the crypto and financial industries will come out stronger 5. properly-constructed and properly-indexed data lakes will enable agents to build software far more productively 6. governments will move to restrict AI usage in the future, causing true decentralization and CR to matter in dramatic fashion 7. quantum security will be a must for any ledger where people trust their assets. And specifically, blockchains will need to deliver quantum-resistance while retaining programmability and performance. Again, no larping 8. ZK will be an important part of the puzzle too, as it'll be increasingly important to prove off-chain computation and utilize the result on chain. But again, performance and effortlessness for users will be the differentiator 9. pragmatic and composable privacy will be the missing piece for real adoption. People will use apps that stack together stablecoins, DeFi, blockchain settlement, passkey or MPC authentication, and friction-free onramps, but the part that gets fintechs over the line is knowing that user balances will remain private while still being able to tap into shared liquidity 10. blockchain will serve as the global, universal marketplace, for anyone anywhere to get the best opportunities. For that we will need guarantees of fair execution, protection from frontrunning, and a convergence of all of the best assets At @category_xyz and the @monad Foundation, we are assembling all of these missing pieces in parallel with extreme urgency, and I hope this is clear from our actions. See you in the future

Amazing work by PGPZ, per usual. I see some really great opportunities to educate the @SECGov on zkVM-- especially re: satisfying Rule 103(b)(7) without custom circuits or viewing key disclosure.
Gm! Yesterday, we submitted comments on the @SECGov's proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, focusing on financial privacy and the Zcash ecosystem. The proposal would create new fundraising exemptions and a conditional safe harbor for determining when a crypto asset is no longer subject to an investment contract. We’re asking the SEC to: • Preserve the distinction between a crypto asset and an investment contract involving it. • Expressly accommodate encrypted transactions and zero-knowledge proofs. • Allow verification without unnecessary disclosure of financial histories, wallet information, or sensitive keys, while preserving material investor information. • Clarify that continued maintenance, research, and development do not, by themselves, prevent safe harbor eligibility. • Allow safe harbor use without implying an admission of prior investment-contract or issuer status. The proposed disclosures would apply to issuers using the exemptions, not the Zcash ecosystem generally. Where they apply, compliance should be possible without disabling shielded transactions or exposing unrelated financial activity. Financial privacy should be compatible with clear, workable rules. .@apolynya is back with updated thoughts on ZK. One line stood out: “The potential impact of ZKPs supercedes that of all blockchains.” Early signs say he’s right. Our upcoming 2026 ZK Industry Report with @zeroknowledgefm surveys adoption across categories beyond blockchains.

Biggest Claude slop peeve? "Worth 20 minutes?" If it wasn't worth 5 minutes to think through a salutation, introduction and compelling reason to meet, no, it's not worth 20 minutes.

A new, faster engine is coming to Mantle Mainnet as global capital markets accelerate onchain. On Oct. 28, 7AM UTC, our Sequencer moves from Geth to Reth, after a clean run on Sepolia. Same chain, lighter footprint, and tighter ZK alignment. What to expect ↓
