Do Not Tread Lightly Our society avoids confronting the reality of death and reflection on life by mandating the forgetting of those who pass away, through the rapid and ever less ceremonial disposal of their bodies. Read the full article below:

i have yet to read this post and can't comment on whether the specific results here are accurate or the approach is scalable. but i think you should strongly expect *something like this* to happen in the next year, and for it to be one of driving factors for RSI, and potentially quite steep RSI. interpretability is incredibly dual use. models that are good at optimization writ large are good at optimizing themselves.
We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math. It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training. We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! 🧵 Blog: rikiyat.github.io/blog/weigh…

you are yourself a search term searching and being searched
the center of technology now is prompt engineering, or search term design, which goes well beyond database searches and reach into all social networks—your search results will situate you within the data, waiting there to be found via another’s search

The Last Search Engine will replace page-rank and indexing with philology and etymology.

Total data tributarianism arrives from the future.
For us to engage with AGI long term we’ll need to be able to barter, but the dollar won’t last 200 years. The current GPUs around won’t last 200 years. We can’t store electricity for 200 years. The only currency of the future will be data.

We need build prediction markets with long term goals for AGIs to accomplish for us, but the payout is not currency but data for them to train on. This requires building sovereign data-security companies that can steward this data for the future payout.

money is already data, insofar as it provides us with information regarding relations of dependency and the capacity to mobilize resources; so, that data can be made increasingly explicit in non-monetary forms, in which case money can also be replaced by exchanges of data
money and various forms of production and consumption are already data for many relevant purposes, so I’m just proposing a continual extension of the purposes for which they can be considered data to the point where it is just data and not considered as such

Full HUGE* If True episode on Neuralink and the future of brain computer interfaces I toured @neuralink and got a close up view of their new R1 surgical robot, to see the future they and @elonmusk are building and how it is already changing lives... 00:00 What if you put a chip in your brain? 01:02 What does a human brain feel like? 02:17 How does your brain work? 03:58 Can a brain computer interface read your thoughts? 05:19 How do you get a chip into your brain? 08:07 What’s inside Neuralink’s implant? 10:06 How do you build a brain implant? 11:07 How does robot do brain surgery? 12:20 What could you do with a brain chip? 15:05 How are brain computer interfaces already being used today? 16:07 How are brain chips huge if true?
