Rural communities across Texas deserve access to quality healthcare and the resources needed to serve their patients.
This $87 million investment through the Rural Health Transformation Program will help 129 rural healthcare providers strengthen their operations, recruit, train, and retain qualified medical professionals, and expand access to care. From improving medical facilities and equipment to preventing chronic disease and improving health outcomes, this funding will make a meaningful difference for rural Texas families.

I joined my colleagues in signing a bicameral letter urging the HHS Inspector General to review Planned Parenthood’s use of federal taxpayer dollars and determine whether the organization and its affiliates have complied with federal laws and funding requirements.
Taxpayer dollars must be protected from fraud, waste, and abuse. I will continue working to hold recipients of federal funding accountable and stand for the protection of innocent life.
