Behind the scenes of what to expect from Mallard Order’s new collection, TMO: Initiates @TMO_RH, dropping Nov 4th on @opensea. It’s all built on @RobinhoodCrypto chain, which lets us push way harder than we ever could before when it comes to immersive, gamified experiences that actually create value. For the last 3.5 weeks our Trial has been one of the most talked about things on X. I know because I pulled the numbers myself from X’s API. So instead of telling you why you should mint, here are 10 reasons you shouldn’t: 👇 1. The art took way too long. 10,000 Initiates, every single one hand drawn by our artist, with 250+ traits. Zoom in on any of them and you’ll keep finding details: stitching, scratches, light hitting the gold. We could’ve shipped months ago. We didn’t. 2. You’ll never pay us again. Mint once and that’s it. No token to buy, no fee to unlock features, and gas is covered by us. Kinda hard to complain about. 3. You’ll have to show up. Daily claims, a 26 day streak, and a bigger chest every week you keep it alive. Miss one day and it starts over at day 1. If participating but earning rewards sounds like a chore, this ain’t for you. 4. Your duck gets smarter than you. Initiates earn Lore, climb Degrees and forge Masks to rank up. All of it is logged onchain to the duck itself, so if you sell, the buyer gets everything it earned. Paper hands train someone else’s duck. 5. Everything you craft is real. Items you craft are actual NFTs in your wallet. Not points, not a database. You own them and you can trade them. Free to make. 6. Something is hunting the floor. On a random day at PM UTC an unknown deity sweeps listed Initiates into the void. The community controls whether it burns or relists for higher. Onchain and provably fair. If you like listing low, this collection hates you🤣. 7. Breaking your word costs you. When you Awaken your Initiate you pick a Vow: 24 hours, 72 hours, a week, or longer. The longer the Vow, the better the rewards. Nothing is ever locked, so you can pull your Initiate out anytime. But leave before the Vow is up and you lose everything it earned during that Vow. Your Initiate keeps its progress, and anything you already claimed stays yours. Short and safe or long and rewarding, your call. 8. Every Initiate has its own wallet. Each one owns a Vault onchain. Holders vote on which tokenized stock the treasury buys, and it goes into the Vaults of everyone who took part. Royalties fund that treasury, not our pockets. 9. We’ve already shipped too much. 6,500 Mallards. 489 Invitation Letters. Relics. 222 Ordinals sub 175K inscriptions. Two comic Issues. Raiders Guild (Social engagement platform years ago). Alright, let me explain this properly because I don't think people fully understand what we're building here with @TMO_RH Your Initiate is your entry into the ecosystem. That's it. You mint once, and then everything that comes after is free. No hidden fees, no paying to unlock features, none of that bullshit. No tokens needing to be tied to every single traction or function. And when I say you can craft items, I mean actual NFTs. You create them for free, you own them, they sit in YOUR wallet, and you can trade them with whoever you want. Real assets, not some imaginary points sitting in a database. The rewards are real too. A large percentage of the mint proceeds goes straight into funding the reward pool the moment mint closes. We're not asking you to wait six months for some roadmap promise. The system starts day post successful sell out. Now here's something I haven't really talked about yet. THE UNKNOWN DEITY. On a random day, at exactly 5:55 PM UTC, a deity will emerge and sweep Mallards sitting on the floor. Those Mallards get sent straight into the void. Burned. Gone forever. And here's where things get interesting. The community can collectively influence how quickly or slowly this deity moves. The entire voting/controlling mechanism is onchain and provably fair. You'll also have a dashboard where you can do all sorts of activities with your Initiate, including tracking the Unknown Deity's last known locations and trying to predict when it might appear again. Warnings will go out across our platform and Discord. So yes, paper hands will quite literally feed the void, and the supply only goes in one direction. Down. And that's just ONE of the systems. We've built this entire ecosystem in layers, with sustainability in mind for every mechanic. If you're a whale who wants to sit back and do absolutely nothing, there are automated reward systems for you. If you've got ONE Initiate and show up every single day, you could potentially out-earn some lazy mfer sitting on a mountain of them. Nobody needs to get involved the same way. We've been building since 2022. Anyone who participated in the Trials this past month, or experienced anything else we've built over the years, knows how much effort we put into this shit. And another thing. Royalties go back to the holders. Not our pockets. Every contract will be published publicly. In fact, I'd rather you read through the contracts yourself than take my word for anything I'm saying here. There's a reason we're building it this way. We're not trying to sell you a duck and spend the next three years figuring out what to do with it.
