finally.. THIS IS THE DAY! 🥹
im literally in tears right now 🥹
this was the dream... the gold standard... the magical number that i imagined would set everything right
just hit $10k mrr after 4+ years of indiehacking
all started from being inspired by @levelsio posts to building my first ever product in 2021
from posting my first internet dollar screenshots (marketing :p) to trying all the shady stuff... took mammoth of an effort
from days of no sleep to months of no shipping at all... this was a lot of emotions
when someone used to ask me what i wanted to do 2022 me would proudly say i want to build a bootstrapped saas product and grow it to $5k mrr
i went through different ideas, one week builds, producthunt launches and this was the one that finally stuck
lol obviously this doesnt feel enough anymore coz ai costs and churn but man do i see a path now
shoutout to @jackfriks @marclou @_MaxBlade @tibo_maker @d4m1n @saguppa @pramodk73 for having the impact you guys had in unimaginable ways... might not realise what putting your journey out does to minds
wouldnt be possible a tiny bit without @Pushpit07
grateful. see you at $20k 🫡
founders shipping apps rn, what actually got you your first downloads from short form?
slideshows, ugc style videos, faceless clips, or nothing yet
trying to see what's working for people this month
hot take: the first slide of a tiktok slideshow matters more than the other 5 combined
if slide one doesn't stop the scroll nobody ever sees the nice product shot on slide 4

The moat is:
> Having domain knowledge
> Building a solution to a problem in that domain
> Having affinity with that market
It always was.

It’s almost incomprehensible how wide the distance is between someone who’s working at the frontier with AI and basically everyone else right now.
The crazy thing is these lines are not converging, but only growing farther apart. If the curve of AI progress had leveled off, it would certainly have given most people and companies time to catch up or implement their workflows in a standardized way. The technology would have neutralized competitive advantage because everyone would be using it the same way.
But what’s happened is the opposite. The curve of AI progress is basically going vertical right now, which means if you had codified your processes 3-6 months ago you’re likely already behind again. Now imagine most companies that kicked into gear a year ago and thought that they were done. Even further behind now.
I’ve never seen a technology in my life and career that improves at this rate, which consequently means you need to upgrade your expectations at a similar rate. Our brains weren’t wired for this, and our organizational change management processes certainly weren’t either.
With any form of recursive self improvement, things just get wilder. It’s a time when you will need to be constantly reevaluating the things that didn’t work just a couple months ago to see if they now can be solved. AI native companies certainly have a strong advantage due to this right now, so now it comes down to can the bigger companies keep up. Wild times.
founders treat tiktok like a launch. post once, check views, quit
it's closer to running experiments. every post tests a hook, and if the first second doesn't land nothing after it matters
what i'm building with viraloop in one picture. you paste your site, it learns the brand, then makes slideshows and ugc style videos and posts them every day. founders keep saying they'll post daily and then don't, so i'm trying to make that part not need you

I’m convinced that most stress isn’t from the hard things you’re doing, but from the hard things you’re avoiding. A good life is built by simply doing uncomfortable things sooner. The delayed conversation gets harder. The ignored problem gets bigger. The small repair gets more expensive. Peace is found through direct early action.
every founder says distribution is the hard part and then spends 90% of the week building anyway. me included lol
so true
Technical was always a bundle:
– typing code
– a mental model of how software fits together
– knowing what’s worth building.
Agents made the first one nearly free. The other two got more valuable, because that’s what you steer with now.
So the sad engineers are mourning the typing and everyone else is wishing they had the mental model.
The typing was the least interesting part of the job. It was just the most visible.
founders posting tiktok slideshows for your app, how many posts did it take before one actually popped?
Replying to @nikhilx22
Muse: good personal assistant (not great for business)
Dots: clearly behind
Duet: might take over, but usage consumption is crazy compared to Grok bot

This is utterly brilliant. A student accuses @jk_rowling of being transphobic. This teacher skilfully dissects the claim and challenges it by asking questions.
He teaches not what to think, but how to think critically.
Watch until the end.
You see the epiphany in real-time.
