At the Qatar Foundation UK Alumni Forum in London, our graduates came together from across the UK and Europe to share experiences, exchange perspectives, and strengthen the connections that began at Education City.

How can research findings shape policies that strengthen family cohesion? Dr. Sharifa Al Emadi, Executive Director of @DIFI_Qatar, explains how scientific research contributes to developing policies and initiatives that support families, from parenting education to children’s digital safety, helping build a more cohesive society.

هل المُعلّم هو وحده الذي يُعلِّم؟ لكل طالب قصة مُلهمة، وفي كل تجربة فرصة للتَعلّم، وفي العلاقة بين مُعلّمٍ وطالبه أثر يتجاوز حدود الفصل الدراسي. فكما يصنع المُعلِّم فرقًا في حياة طلابه، يترك الطلاب أيضًا أثرًا في مُعلّميهم، لأن التعلُّم رحلة يتشاركها كلاهما. في اليوم العالمي للمُعلِّمين، نحتفي بمن يُعَلِّمون، ويتعلَّمون، ويصنعون أثرًا لا يزول.

What if learning goes both ways? Every student has an inspiring story, every experience offers an opportunity to learn, and the relationship between a teacher and a student can leave an impact that extends far beyond the classroom. Just as teachers make a difference in their students’ lives, students also leave a lasting impact on their teachers, reminding us that learning is a journey they share together. This World Teachers’ Day, we celebrate those who teach, who learn, and who create an impact that lasts.
