how bad is exchange security guys??? pretty bad apparently...
hot wallets remain the weak point.
@binance got drained for $6b...
@MercadoBitcoin just lost roughly $40m on $BTC, $ETH, $SOL and 7 more chains. they paused services... and caim no client impact nor leaks...
@HypernativeLabs spotted the suspicious transfers.
@tether already froze $3.7m in $USDT.
the industry keeps repeating the same mistakes.
self custody or get rekt (keep at least small amount on cexs).
aave has a $USDC pool paying 7.8% rn / but how long that rate will survive lol?
i've been using aave since the ethlend days, & there's a lot more you can do there than supply some stables
🧵👇 here are 5 ways i'd approach earning on aave rn, from passive yield to the more risky stuff (+ sources i use)
i) supply the high rate spots
$USDC on optimism is paying 7.8% supply on around $9.91m in the pool.
$PYUSD on eth is paying 7.3% supply on only $7.12m.
$USDC on avalanche is at 6% w/ around $67.8m supplied.
$USDC on linea is 6.4% on $1.14m.
$USDT on eth is 3.9% supply & 4.6% borrow w/ around 93.8% utilization & $2.58b supplied.
$WETH on the v4 eth main spoke is 1.7% on around $100m.
w/ $10k in $USDC on avalanche at 6% you'd earn about $600 a year if the rate stays the same.
w/ $50k that is roughly $3,000.
the displayed APY already includes aave's protocol cut, but rates change as ppl deposit & borrow, so actual earnings can be lower or higher.
i usually prefer utilization in the 70-90% zone, but most of these stablecoin pools are already above 90%, so i'd be careful w/ sizing.
ii) umbrella for the extra yield on top
umbrella is aave's onchain risk management system.
you stake your aTokens like aUSDC or aUSDT and get an extra reward stream on top of the normal supply rate.
the total yield depends on the asset & how much is already staked, since umbrella rewards change too.
say the combined yield is 5%.
w/ $10k staked that would be about $500 a year total.
w/ $100k it is around $5,000, assuming the rate stays the same.
you take first-loss slash risk if bad debt shows up after the dao offset.
there is a 20-day cooldown to exit, followed by a 2-day withdrawal window. your funds can still be slashed during cooldown.
i use this when i am already supplying and want the dual stream w/o adding leverage.
iii) $GHO savings
$GHO is aave's stablecoin / sGHO is what you get paid for hodling $GHO.
sGHO is paying a 4.5% savings rate rn w/ around $201m deposited.
the rate is set by governance, so it can change.
w/ $10k in sGHO you'd earn about $450 a year at that rate.
w/ $50k that is $2,250.
no slashing risk and no cooldown.
$GHO borrow on eth core is still at 4.6%, set by governance.
this is the cleanest passive way i hold $GHO.
iv) eMode loops
eMode is aave's efficiency mode.
you supply something like $WSTETH or a yield stable, borrow against it at high ltv in eMode, then redeposit and repeat.
ltv can go to 90%+ on some correlated assets w/ a small liquidation bonus.
each loop adds a bit of extra carry but your health factor drops fast.
say you start w/ $10k & loop to $30k supplied, w/ $20k borrowed.
at 5% supply yield & 3% borrow cost, you'd earn roughly $900 a year, or 9% on your original capital before costs.
but rates, asset prices & liquidations can change that quite a lot.
i'd keep leverage limited & watch the health factor closely, since even correlated assets can move apart.
v) liquidations and flash loans
you repay part of an underwater position and take the collateral plus a bonus that depends on the asset & market.
some bonuses are around 4.5-7.5%, while certain eMode positions can be as low as 1%.
flash loans on aave v3 generally start at a 0.05% fee, although governance can change it, so you don't need your own loan capital, but you still need gas.
a $10k flash loan liquidation w/ a 5% bonus gives around $500 gross collateral bonus & a $5 flash loan fee at 0.05%.
your actual profit depends on the liquidation fee, gas, slippage & execution.
bots take most of the mainnet opportunities but cheaper gas on L2s can make smaller liquidations worth attempting...
i only touch these when the bonus clears the fees & gas by a clear margin.
rates move w/ every deposit and borrow so i check aavetracker before i do anything.
i'd watch the small high-utilization pools for higher rates, but those yields can disappear pretty fast.
umbrella adds rewards on top of the normal supply yield, while sGHO is a separate savings option w/ no cooldown.
I SEE RN ON MY CT TL (catalysts for november):
- RH season 2
- USDT to BTC via RGB
- plus more plays if market keeps chopping / read 🧵👇
▫️ i) robinhood season 2
robinhood chain launched july 1 as an Arbitrum-based L2.
season 1 was pure meme degen, even tho' it was built for tokenized stocks and rwas 😅
$PONS pushed daily fees above $8m & TVL crossed $1b (then fees collapsed 95%+...)
rn daily fees sit around $40-50k, TVL ~$1.13b & stablecoins ~$1.07b, mostly USDG.
@vladtenev mentioned the chain during earnings, while robinhood's crypto account has been interacting w/ AI projects 😉
my whole timeline thinks season 2 could revolve around AI agents.
some names getting attention:
$ORBIO - inference / AI agents
$PRIORS - some calling it the next $PONS
$NET & other surviving season 1 tokens
Uniswap, Morpho & Lighter perps are still around, but activity remains mostly degen-driven.
narratives:
i) AI-native projects, since the chain pushed that narrative from launch.
ii) season 1 survivors that held communities through 90% drawdowns.
▫️ ii) USDT on Bitcoin via RGB
this one has an actual date: november 28.
@utexocom plans to launch tether-backed USDT on Bitcoin using @RGB_Bitcoin
RGB keeps transaction details between users, while Bitcoin records cryptographic commitments.
basically private transfers w/o the usual issuer freeze button on ethereum or tron 😅
the flow looks like this:
existing USDT → USDT0 bridge → lock tokens → equivalent USDT on RGB.
so no fresh supply.
@UniSat_wallet is a launch partner, while @lightning support is planned for Q1 2027.
funny enough if you remember, USDT originally launched on Bitcoin via Omni in 2014
Tether also co-led Utexo's $7.5m seed & Paolo called it "coming home".
Utexo targets $1b+ within a year.
that means:
i) private USDT on Bitcoin could bring more money & users into Bitcoin apps...
ii) wallets that support RGB early could benefit, same for apps letting ppl borrow money using BTC as collateral
iii) new tokens & projects built on RGB could get attention if more ppl start using it
▫️ iii) smaller november plays
(@enter_elysium) @Kinetiq_xyz Hyperliquid L2, targets november 9 mainnet / highlights:
- $HYPE for gas
- high throughput
- spot
- propAMM (proprietary automated market maker)
- agentic apps
no native token, value flows toward $HYPE / $KNTQ.
RGB-adjacent accounts like @rgbhorse are getting tagged too....
still early, very thin.... NFA!!!

Whales are buying $ETH like crazy on-chain!
Over the past 2 hours, whale 0x9EcA spent 37.96M $USDC to buy 16,658 $ETH at an average price of $2,279.
The whale is still buying!

MIT has a free 900+ page textbook that teaches the math behind computer science.
It is called Mathematics for Computer Science.
And it costs $0.
Most people think “learn CS” means:
Learn Python.
Learn JavaScript.
Learn React.
Learn system design.
Learn AI tools.
But under almost every serious CS topic, there is math.
Algorithms are math.
Cryptography is math.
Machine learning is math.
Databases use logic and relations.
Distributed systems use proofs and invariants.
Complexity theory is basically math with consequences.
This textbook is MIT’s foundation for that.
It covers:
Proofs
Induction
Sets
Functions
Relations
Graphs
Trees
State machines
Number theory
Modular arithmetic
Counting
Probability
Random variables
Recurrences
Asymptotic growth
Basically, the stuff that makes you understand why code works, not just how to write it.
This is the difference between someone who can follow tutorials and someone who can actually reason like an engineer.
The best part:
You do not need to be enrolled at MIT.
You do not need to pay tuition.
You do not need a professor.
You do not need a fancy bootcamp.
You can download the PDF and start reading today.

FREEZES FINALLY WORK? remember that: mt gox (473m) had 0 freezes / bybit (1.5b) had almost none (sub 3%...)
binance hit roughly 40% inside the first hour...
🧵👇
- binance's $6.3b hack
- where the money went
- bybit vs binance
- mt gox
- self-custody vs cex trust
▫️ binance's $6.3b hack
on october 29, binance lost roughly $6.3b:
- @elliptic counted 6.43b
- @trmlabs counted 6.36b
- binance used ~6.3b.
- elliptic verified $2.85b frozen (44%)
- then binance said ~3b.
the first hour is where things get interesting.
the main ethereum drain happened at 20:24 utc.
i) 21:01 - @Tether_to blacklisted the main wallet, freezing 971.1m $USDT
ii) 21:04 - @circle froze another 823m $USDC
iii) +47 minutes - total frozen reached ~$2.23b, or 35% of the hack
pretty fast response, tbh.
but the mfers were already moving funds 🥲
▫️ where the money went
i) 700m $USDT escaped early
between 20:30 & 20:33, attackers moved ~700m $USDT before tether's blacklist.
some got frozen later.
ii) 434m $USDT became $ETH
roughly 434m $USDT was swapped into 160k $ETH through uniswap, 1inch & market makers.
attackers accepted 12-26% discounts.
imagine losing a quarter of your money on a swap & still considering it worth doing, but they obviously didn't give a shit cause they didn't work for that money...
iii) the aave move
one wallet deposited 60m $USDT into @aave, then borrowed 19,762 $WETH (~$44.6m).
aave later restricted new activity, but the existing position remained open.... i mean.. what else could've been done here?
iv) thorchain
thorchain played a smaller role initially....
much of the remaining value sat in native $ETH & $BTC, which have no issuer blacklist.
fbi called out thornode operators / @CBarraford pointed out the data is already public...
but then @chainalysis dropped this:
saying a small technical glitch on eth accidentally hit the pause button on thorchain and temporarily blocked the laundering route the attackers were using 😂 lol
▫️ bybit vs binance
bybit lost ~$1.46b in february 2025, mostly ethereum-related assets.
attackers quickly converted tokens into native $ETH, split funds across wallets & moved large amounts through thorchain into $BTC.
around 3% was frozen by february 23.
binance was different because much of the stolen value was in stablecoins.
tether & circle could freeze those balances directly.
still, the unfrozen remainder exceeded the entire bybit hack.
▫️ mt gox
in 2014, mt gox reported 850k $BTC missing.
~200k $BTC was later found in an old wallet.
that wasn't a hacker freeze tho' :D
creditors waited over a decade for repayments.
and back then, real-time issuer freezes weren't even an option...
▫️ what i'm seeing
i) the first hour is critical for stablecoin freezes
ii) attackers convert freezable assets into native $ETH or $BTC, sometimes accepting huge losses
iii) native $BTC & $ETH remain difficult to stop, even when investigators trace the funds
iv) self-custody removes cex counterparty risk but puts key security on me...
v) cex users depend on treasury reserves, SAFU-style protection (which is great)
imo, this sucks.. some of us want fully decentralized, permissionless systems w/o anyone having control over our funds others want protection when things go wrong.
i get both sides, tbh.
but where do we draw the line between protecting users & giving someone the power to decide who can access their money?
over 60% of S&P 500 names are trading 20%+ below their ATHs, yet the index is still holding near its peak 😅
so where is the money going tho'? 🧵👇
***first, when stocks lose trillions in market cap, that doesn't mean those trillions moved somewhere else.
a lot of that value simply disappears as prices get repriced.
but actual fund flows show where investors are putting their money.
here's what the DATA says 👇🧵
i) equity mutual funds are bleeding money
@ICI: ~$788bn left long-term equity mutual funds from jan-sep, including ~$620bn from domestic equity funds.
meanwhile, US-listed ETFs attracted ~$1.49tn in net inflows over the same period.
ppl are increasingly using ETFs, but these numbers alone don't prove everyone is switching from active funds to passive ones.
still, the difference is massive. 🤔
ii) growth stocks are losing some of their appeal
large growth funds lost ~$17bn in september, their biggest monthly outflow since january.
growth ETFs also recorded their first monthly outflow in over 2 years.
meanwhile, broad-market ETFs continue attracting capital.
funds like $VOO, $VTI, $IVV, $ITOT & $SPY give investors exposure to a much wider basket of companies.
the catch?
many of these funds still have significant exposure to the same mega-cap tech names.
iii) international stocks are attracting more attention
US equity ETFs attracted ~$655bn through september.
but investors are also allocating outside the US:
- developed international markets: ~$150bn
- emerging markets: ~$52bn
- global equity funds: ~$72bn
in september, international funds captured ~36% of equity ETF inflows despite representing only ~17% of total assets.
that's a meaningful difference. 👀
iv) bonds are getting serious inflows
short-term government bond ETFs attracted ~$100bn year to date.
$SGOV has repeatedly ranked among the ETFs attracting the most money.
other bond categories also saw demand:
- municipal bonds: ~$53bn
- investment-grade corporate bonds: ~$48bn
investors can earn yield here while taking less equity risk, although bonds aren't risk-free.
v) gold & crypto are seeing money too
@GOLDCOUNCIL reported ~$31bn entering global gold ETFs in Q3, including ~$12bn from North America.
crypto investment products attracted ~$11bn in Q3 after experiencing outflows in Q2.
but recent weekly flows have been mixed.
neither market shows a clean, uninterrupted rotation.
vi) institutions & retail aren't behaving the same way
@GoldmanSachs reported low hedge fund net equity exposure & heavy tech selling.
@BankofAmerica clients sold individual stocks while continuing to buy ETFs.
meanwhile, @Robinhood reported ~$55bn in deposits through september.
deposits don't necessarily mean stock purchases, tho'.
so the interesting part is how different the flows look across investor groups.
broad ETFs, international equities, bonds & gold are attracting capital while large parts of the US stock market remain far below their peaks.
& since broad ETFs still own plenty of mega-cap tech, the money isn't moving in one simple direction...
kinda funny that we're in 2026, talking about putting stocks, treasuries & god knows what else onchain, while anyone can still check your wallet & see pretty much everything you've done lol
i mean, we've had Monero, Zcash & other privacy stuff for years, so the idea itself is nothing new.w
but idk, feels like we're finally getting to a point where ppl might actually NEED it.
that's why i like American Fortress approach of bringing privacy to chains ppl already use...
anyway, happy to be joining their mission alongside some familiar faces from the US, China & Korea

Daily early-assignment scan for short options
A read-only task runs at 21:00. It pulls positions and option data, flags any short call whose extrinsic value is below the next dividend before the ex-date (or any short put deep in the money), and pushes an alert only when something gets flagged.
these horsemen of the US market are riding and i don't like any of them...
that's because everything in markets is interconnected, and especially the US w/ the rest of the word...
here's what the actual fuck is happening in the US that should WORRY you a lot
i) rates
the government and everyone else is paying way more to borrow money than they used to.
home loans are over 7% and the fed already hiked with more still expected.
>
ii) houses
almost nobody is buying or selling houses right now and new building is way down.
people with super cheap old mortgages refuse to move so the market stays frozen even as prices barely drop.
> nitter.cf/texasrunnerDFW/status/…
iii) credit
loans are starting to go bad in commercial real estate and weaker companies are paying painful interest.
even some big ai data center players are getting hammered and new deals are getting delayed.
> nitter.cf/Schuldensuehner/status…
iv) the government money problem
the us government simply cannot afford these high interest rates.
if rates stay higher than expected the extra interest alone adds trillions to the deficit and pushes the debt to record levels.
> nitter.cf/unusual_whales/status/…
v) stocks
the stock market is still up a lot this year but the big tech and ai names that carried it are getting sold off hard.
money is rotating into boring stuff like energy and food companies instead.

don't people who still watch tv find it strange to sit through the same ads for years? maybe 10-15 years, or even more?
nobody asked whether you liked them, and nobody paid you for watching.
we can't change how tv works, but we can choose to be rewarded by joining the @SnpNetwork flywheel.
how it works:
i) set up your profile on the SNPad mobile app
ii) pair it with your tv
iii) start watching
iv) get rewarded in $SNPAD
love fishing? tackle brands show up.
dreaming about an exotic trip? travel deals take priority.
and the part nobody else is doing at the moment: you get paid for actually watching tv.
eligible views earn $SNPAD directly into your in-app wallet. see something you like? press OK on your remote, scan the qr code, and keep exploring on your phone.
brands get real targeting and validated results. under the hood sits a full ecosystem:
i) AdVerse campaign platform
ii) community hosters delivering the videos
iii) its own blockchain layer with a bridge to Ethereum
a good flywheel needs a referral program too. when someone uses your invite code (available in the mobile app) and starts earning, you receive 10% of their earnings. picture 10 people using your code, then 100. there are plenty of ways to promote it.
official launch is November 1st in Romania, followed by a worldwide rollout. word will spread fast, so there's still time to get in early.
