I was proud to join the Bergen County Fire Academy graduation to congratulate our newest firefighters. You run toward danger when others run out, and I’ll keep fighting in Washington to make sure we always get your backs. Congratulations to the graduates and their families!
My office helped Suzanne Jackson of Highland Lakes, a nurse at Englewood Hospital for 40+ years, get the prosthetic K3 microprocessor knee she needed after UnitedHealthcare approved an unsuitable one. They reversed the decision a day after we stepped in. Today, she’s still on the job caring for patients.

Free and fair elections are the bedrock of our democracy, and that means accepting the results, whether we like them or not.
That’s why @RepDonBacon and I wrote a letter asking our colleagues to pledge to recognize election winners certified by each state and oppose any attempt to stop or delay the seating of any new members, no matter their party.

It was great to be in Fair Lawn and announce that I clawed back $300,000 in federal funding for our first responders. These funds will pay for critical training and a new mobile command center that will make sure our first responders never lose communications during emergencies.
I’ll keep fighting to claw back our tax dollars from Washington to support our police, fire, and EMS, and to lower the burden on local families.
Big news for Englewood: I clawed back $450,000 in federal funding from Washington to finish the city’s new Dispatch and Emergency Management Center. Police, firefighters, and our partners will sit together and work off the same information in real time. These are your federal tax dollars, coming home to Jersey.
My office helped Tom Gallagher of Mahwah get over $19,000 in back pay for his brother, Retired Air Force Major John Gallagher, a victim of fraud whose bank account was closed and pension stopped being deposited for five months. We contacted DFAS, and the issue was resolved within a week. We must always get the backs of those who have so bravely had ours.

Nothing beats a Jersey bagel! 🥯 Had a great time getting behind the counter at River Road Hot Bagels in Fair Lawn for my latest “Josh on the Job.” Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I'll keep fighting to help them grow and lower costs for Jersey families.
Nine years ago, Darren Drake was taken from his family and our community in a vile act of terror. I was honored to join the Drake family, the Darren Drake Foundation, and the New Milford community at New Milford High School to raise a flag in his memory.
The Darren Drake Act has become an essential tool in our arsenal to eradicate terrorist threats in our country. And, it exists because of Jimmy and Barbara – and Darren. Darren’s life and legacy will never be forgotten.
#TeamGottheimer had a great time joining Mahwah families at the Halloween Spooktacular at Commodore Perry Park! Thank you to Recreation Director Marybeth Duffy and Mahwah’s police, fire, and EMS for keeping our families safe!
I had a great time on the job at Magpie Bakery in Bloomingdale! Small businesses like this are the backbone of our economy and the heart of our communities. They’re up before dawn every morning serving Jersey families, and they deserve a partner in Washington who’s fighting to lower costs, cut red tape, and help them grow.
Thank you to the whole @mag_pie_bakery team for having me behind the counter. #JoshOnTheJob
I was proud to thank our troops firsthand in Djibouti for their extraordinary sacrifice, including those from Jersey. As Iran-backed Houthis target our allies and threaten global trade, we must keep the pressure on. Our presence there is key to fighting terrorists and keeping America safe.
This isn’t about Haley Stevens. It’s about the basic question she raised: Why won’t El-Sayed just condemn the Jew-hating ad?
News flash: You can be for lower costs and stand up to hate at the same time.

It was great to see the 16th annual “Cider Barn Band” with Councilman Robert Metzdorf in Park Ridge! Thanks to everyone who came out to make the Bergen County Parks Department concert season so special.
I clawed back $250,000 in federal funding from Washington for Bergenfield’s police, fire, and EMS to modernize emergency communications and strengthen counterterrorism training.
Every family in Bergenfield deserves to feel safe, and I’ll keep clawing their tax dollars back home to protect North Jersey.
Happy Halloween! Cookie Monster has arrived at the Gottheimer household. No tricks, just treats. 🐾 🍪

I had a great time delivering books from the Library of Congress to students and teachers at Dr. John Grieco Elementary School in Englewood! Through the Library’s Surplus Books Program, eligible schools, libraries, and organizations can receive free books that they no longer need. I’m proud to help get more books into the hands of our young readers. 📚
If any eligible school, library, or non-profit organization needs additional books, please apply here: gottheimer.house.gov/gotthei….
It’s always great to be in Teaneck. Thank you to Elie Katz for hosting this morning’s breakfast, and thank you to the Teaneck community for the warm welcome and the conversation!
