What I saw today in Newark is a scene I never imagined experiencing in my lifetime. But I refuse to believe today reflects who we are as a country. We must all commit to correcting the course our country is on. Standing side by side, I know we can achieve those better tomorrows - together.
Hope has two daughters: Anger and Courage. Anger at the way things are, and Courage to change them.
Anger brought us here. Now is the moment for courage—to build what comes next and deliver the future our families deserve.
One of the biggest takeaways from last night: Latino voters are putting their trust back in the Democratic Party.
Now, we must prove worthy of that trust by making life more affordable, standing up to ICE, holding those in power accountable, and finally delivering immigration reform.
Let's get to work!

I’m grateful to @GovSherrillNJ for standing up against Russian oil tankers operating near New Jersey ports.
Meanwhile, on the eve of Election Day, Trump is doubling down on Putin-first policies that hurt working families and abandon our Ukrainian allies.
Today, I sent a letter putting New Jersey’s port and terminal operators on notice: importing Russian diesel violates federal law and could carry serious civil and criminal consequences.
New Jersey will not stand by while Donald Trump supports Vladimir Putin at the expense of Americans. Instead of lowering costs, these imports help finance Putin’s war against Ukraine and a campaign of violence and terror that endangers our servicemembers abroad.
As a Navy veteran, I cannot let that stand unchallenged. Our ports must not be complicit.
.@JCFPL_NJ’s Five Corners branch is officially back open, so you know we had to stop by with some books from the Library of Congress!
Proud to see this neighborhood library welcoming our families back through its doors. 📚🫶
New Jersey is still recovering from September’s devastating nor’easter. Our communities need relief now.
I joined @FrankPallone and our New Jersey delegation in urging the Trump Administration to immediately approve Governor Sherrill’s request for emergency disaster relief so our communities can rebuild and recover.
Huge parts of New Jersey suffered MILLIONS of dollars in damage after the Nor'easter in late September. Our towns can't afford to take on the huge burden of recovery all by themselves.
That's why I teamed up with members of the New Jersey Congressional Delegation to urge Trump to approve Governor Sherrill's request for emergency disaster relief.

New Jersey is at the center of the immigration debate, and I’m proud to stand alongside institutions like Saint Peter’s that support our families through uncertain times.
Thank you to the Guarini Institute for hosting this critical discussion. Even amid the challenges we face, conversations like this remind us of what we can achieve when we lead with compassion.

📦 Joined @NJMEP for a tour of @Keyboxco to see how their team makes child-resistant and eco-friendly packaging.
For over a century, hardworking people have powered their success. I’ll always fight for our workers and their rights—and to keep New Jersey at the forefront of America’s manufacturing renaissance.
Our legislation would provide eligible households with up to $1,000 to make plug-in solar more affordable.
We’re focused on lowering utility bills for New Jersey families. ☀️🔌

One of my favorite traditions is going with Alex and the kids to vote on Election Day. But this year, Alex and I voted early.
Get your vote in, encourage your friends and neighbors to make their voices heard, and together, we can strengthen our democracy!
Kids playing Little League should be focused on the game—not living in fear of ICE.
Families have endured this pain for far too long. This story is heartbreaking, but our community’s strength is undeniable.
It’s time to end this nightmare and fix our broken immigration system once and for all.
To the young baseball players at a D.C. middle school, Amaury Monsalve is affectionately known as “Coach A.”
After he was detained by ICE, more than a dozen families wrote letters to support his case, and the community has raised more than $80,000. wapo.st/4zbGCEz
Halloween is tomorrow and I still don’t have a costume, so I asked our team who in Congress I look like most… and we had a little fun with it. 😅
Did they get it right? Let me know in the comments! 🎃👇
