Taxpayers fund every federal paycheck. They deserve to know how many go to people with loyalty to a foreign country.
Every pound of mislabeled foreign shrimp is a paycheck stolen from an American fisherman.
Our Shrimp Honesty and Responsibility in Import Monitoring Protocols (SHRIMP) Act stands up for the South Carolina shrimpers who have been undercut by foreign imports for far too long.
It directs NOAA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology, in coordination with Customs and Border Protection and the Coast Guard, to develop a portable chemical test to identify where shrimp actually comes from. Raw, cooked, or in prepared foods.
Law enforcement gets a weapon against illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. Ports get better screening. Mislabeled imports get caught. Food safety and traceability improve.
Our shrimpers earned a fair fight. We’re making sure they get one.
The federal government shouldn't be running on outdated technology.
We introduced the Modernizing Government Technology Reform Act to bring federal IT into the 21st century.
Our bill increases transparency, strengthens oversight, and creates a clear path to modernize, replace, or retire outdated federal legacy IT systems, making government more efficient and protecting taxpayer dollars.
One child lost to a dangerous product is one too many.
10-month-old Tyler Jonathan tragically lost his life because of a defective crib. No parent should ever have to experience what his parents did.
We introduced Tyler’s Law to ensure deadly or dangerous children’s products are reported swiftly to the federal government. It would require hospitals, medical examiners, and coroners to report when a child is killed or seriously hurt by a children’s product.
We’re taking real action to protect our children.
American children should not be taught the Constitution is racist in schools. Woke agendas and DEI have no place in the classroom.
Washington should NOT be allowed to drive up the cost of living.
We introduced the American Family Cost-of-Living Relief Act to require federal agencies to calculate how much new regulations will cost American families BEFORE they take effect.
If a rule would add $50 or more a year to household costs, it’s blocked unless required by law.
No more hidden costs. No more unchecked regulations. Washington needs to start working for American families.

Your vote is sacred. An illegal alien should NEVER be able to cancel it out.
Our veterans answered the call. The VA should too.
We introduced the Accountable Leadership for Veterans Act to strengthen accountability within the VA leadership and senior staff to ensure taxpayer dollars are focused where they belong: delivering timely, quality care for those who served.
Veterans FIRST. Always.

Men don't belong in women's sports. Common sense shouldn't be controversial.

Gavin Newsom just told the victim of every criminal on death row, their justice doesn't matter.
Unbelievably disgusting. Stop coddling criminals and start supporting victims.

In Congress, we’ve made it a priority to ensure animals are protected and treated with the care they deserve.
Here at home, we helped secure a $30,000 grant for our local shelter, Dorchester Paws, to hire adoption staff, and supported a $5,000 award to expand veterinary care for Dorchester County pets and pet owners through their Pet Community Days.
In Washington, we’ve championed the PUPPS Act, Violet’s Law, the TRANS MICE Act, and the PAAW Act, and exposed millions of taxpayer dollars spent on transgender animal experiments in the name of research.
They cannot speak for themselves. We will always be a voice for them.

One thing is clear: a transgender woman is not a woman.
Washington and Arizona just approved measures keeping biological boys OUT of girls' sports.
Washington: a blue state where 56% said yes. Arizona: 58% said yes. This isn't left vs. right. It's right vs. wrong.
Girls train for years for a spot on the team, a podium finish, and a scholarship. None of it should be handed to a man.
Men are NOT women, and they never will be.
Hold the Line.

The last thing our warfighters should have to worry about is their little girls competing against boys in sports at school.
We secured an amendment in the House-passed NDAA to ensure biological males never compete in women’s sports at Department of War Education Activity schools.
This is just common sense.
INTRODUCING: The Clothing Microplastic Transparency Act, legislation requiring clothing companies to disclose microplastic content in the products they sell.
Americans deserve to know what is in the clothing touching their skin all day long.
While current labels list fiber content, they do not disclose microplastics. Our bill puts the facts on the tag. At a time when microplastics and other components have fueled health concerns, you deserve to know what you wear.
The FTC, in consultation with the EPA, would have one year to issue regulations, including a standardized test method companies must use to estimate microplastic content. Violations would be treated as unfair or deceptive practices under the Federal Trade Commission Act and enforced by the FTC.
