The FDA’s proposed rule would be the first update to infant formula nutrition requirements in decades.
Combined with the FDA’s continued commitment to inspecting infant formula and taking appropriate action, it puts the health and safety of our nation’s infants first.
2⃣ @SecKennedy announced today that for the first time in nearly 30 years, @FDA is updating nutrient requirements for infant formula.
“The science has matured and evolved since then…We’re now looking at infant formula on the basis of recent science. We’re comparing it to European values and their procedures.”
I was glad to speak at the Kiwanis Club of Hillsdale's meeting and discuss my legislation, the Enhancing Detection of Human Trafficking Act, which became law last week and will help in the fight against human trafficking.

BREAKING: The DOJ is exposing a major student loan fraud scheme targeting Americans who never attended college, with stolen identities allegedly used to create fake students and obtain taxpayer-funded financial aid.
Assistant Attorney General Colin McDonald says fraudsters are using AI to complete college applications, submit coursework, and even create the appearance of students attending virtual classes, tricking schools into believing real people are enrolled.
"Some even create the appearance of a fake student in an online classroom to trick schools into believing a real person is present... The goal is to keep the ghost student in school for as long as possible."
Every federal student aid dollar should go to a student pursuing an education, not to criminals exploiting the system.
