The U.S. strongly condemns the Hong Kong Court’s decision to once again sentence Joshua Wong for exercising his freedom of speech. He has used peaceful means to defend the rights promised to all individuals in Hong Kong.
We call for his immediate release and that of all unjustly detained persons.
The United States will not tolerate subversive communist networks in our hemisphere.
The Marxist Cuban regime relies on a web of state-owned enterprises, joint ventures, and offshore intermediaries to keep its systems running, and its foreign backers supply the military equipment that helps sustain the regime’s military forces and enables persistent threats to the American homeland.
Today, I'm sanctioning eight entities and two individuals associated with the regime’s financial and shipping network, state-owned import and technical-support entities, and China-based suppliers of the regime's military forces.

Met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister @oliverblanco today. Reconciliation and institutional reform are Venezuela’s path to an enduring republic. The United States will keep supporting this Venezuelan-led process, which is laying the groundwork for free, fair, and credible elections.

Met with Australian Foreign Minister @SenatorWong at the @G20org to reaffirm the strength of the U.S.-Australia Alliance and its vital importance to promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific.
At the closing @G20org Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, I made clear to our partners that secure supply chains are essential for growth.
Critical trade routes including the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb Strait must remain secure and open to commerce. And we must continue to strengthen and expand critical mineral supply chains to protect our future.
I was pleased to meet with my Quad counterparts in Atlanta and discuss the real progress we have made in turning our shared priorities into real benefits for the Indo-Pacific.

At today’s G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, I made clear that maritime and food security drive economic security.
