I had another meaningful exchange with Minister Giang as we continue to deepen defense cooperation.
We are committed to accounting for those still missing, united in honoring the fallen, and steadfast in recognizing the families whose loved ones never returned.
The Northeast Indiana Defense Summit, hosted by @SenatorBanks, was an opportunity to discuss the transformational change our Navy is undertaking. We're building the Navy faster, more fiscally responsibly, and more self-reliant than ever before.
Speaking with the Aviation Maintenance Master Chief mess alongside CNAF and CNAL at @nas_oceana and addressing Navy, civic, and business leaders at @HRVA_Alliance's Ironclad Summit were two phenomenal opportunities to discuss two of my Lines of Effort: taking care of Sailors and expanding the maritime industrial base.

Welcome home, USS McFaul (DDG 74)! ⚓️🇺🇸
Acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao and Adm. Karl Thomas met the crew upon their return to welcome them back from an 11-month deployment. The crew was awarded with the Presidential Unit Citation for their steadfast dedication to duty!
Talk about a fine Navy day! Today, the Honorable Michael P. Duffey, Undersecretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment, and I welcomed home and presented the Presidential Unit Citation to USS McFaul after 332 days at sea, celebrated our $1.7 billion unaccompanied housing Hunt contract closure with Hampton Roads civic leaders, spent time with Norfolk Public School students at a @NAV_STA_NORFOLK STEM day, and had lunch with USS San Antonio warriors.

I have officially appointed @Dakota_Meyer to serve as my Senior Advisor for the Barracks Task Force.
Dakota will represent my office at installations across the country—going directly to our warfighters, identifying what’s broken, and ensuring we FIX our barracks.
Our warriors deserve nothing less.
Unmanned aerial refueling transforms naval power projection. We're testing remote connections, flight profiles, and more to ensure we capitalize on this game-changing capability.
This week’s voting stand down provides Sailors and Marines the resources and time to have their voices heard.
This morning, I joined @USNavyCNO, @NavyMCPON, and other Sailors in the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes to celebrate our Navy's 251st birthday and honor the generations of @USNavy Sailors that have stood our continuous watch.
Exercising your civic right to vote reinforces the constitutional liberties our service members safeguard each day. All Sailors and Marines will be afforded the opportunity to cast their ballot and have their voices heard.
Today, @CMC_MarineCorps and I visited @1stMEF and spoke with Marines and Sailors to discuss the importance of being fit in mind, body, and soul.
Semper Fi!
Congratulations to @CVN_72 and all of CSG-3 on this well-earned Presidential Unit Citation for their extreme heroism over the last 10 months in defense of our homeland.
.@SECWAR spoke to the warriors of the USS Abraham Lincoln.
“TO THE LINCOLN—IT’S AN ABSOLUTE HONOR TO BE WITH YOU TODAY AS YOU RETURN HOME FROM WHAT CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS A HISTORIC MISSION.”
