We grinded for so long, just to end up here! The @0xCitadel wraps up in a few hours & I can honestly say I've not sunk this many hours into a game in years. Adrenaline pumped through me during every encounter. The thrill, the action. It was truly incredible. As a tribute, I created this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing the Beta. o7

Playtesters are the most underrated people in gaming. They show up to broken builds. They lose progress. They write bug reports at 2 am. They tell their mates about a game that isn't even finished. The @0xCitadel beta showed it perfectly: Play -> Feedback -> Discussed -> Fixed. Every few days. That loop only works because players cared enough to report stuff. So projects, pay them back: Credit them. Reward them. Give them first access next time. Your testers are your first community & your first creators. Treat them like it. Ever tested a game that later made it big?

Name a gaming creator with a higher score 🤝 Credibility comes through consistency.
lol, just landed a paid deal because of my sorsa score, that’s it seems like companies are trying to cut out the middle man more and more by using these tools “we can offer you more because we’re not paying agencies anymore” works for me😂🤝 what’s your @SorsaApp score look like?👀

Not gonna lie, this one hits different. For years the @enjin ecosystem felt like one of web3 gaming's best kept secrets. Builders shipping quietly and communities grinding with barely any spotlight. Now I'm seeing it covered more and more, and I keep popping into Discords of games on Enjin and finding my fellow creators already in there, cheering on the devs. That's what this space is meant to be. Builders building, creators showing up, and players having fun together. Proud to be here for it.

Happy Halloween!! What's the scariest thing in web3 gaming? I'll start: Roadmap update coming soon. A token launch before the game launch. Gaming community discords that only wake up for giveaways or paid game nights. Your turn!

You know what else Teams need? Real support from creators like you & me, and anyone else with a wider voice. They should not be forced to pay creators for content or guilds for game nights ALL THE TIME. We should support these Projects by creating content, offering our 2 cents, and continuously mentioning them when highlighting gaming, without constantly feeling entitled to be paid for it. What @unclefunkdrew has built at @OSP_TD is next to magical, but because we can't afford to pay unreasonable prices, guess how much coverage this gets? Close to none. Same goes with @StarstoneTales, he's a solo dev building a real world, but because it's fully bootstrapped, getting a real game night from communities? Close to impossible. These posts are all good & well, you are entirely right in what you are saying, they are paying the price of their predecessors. But there is more to this than talking; it's walking the walk. Now I'm not saying creators should support them for free forever, but we also need to do our bit to rebuild this industry from the ground up.
One of the saddest things about Web3 gaming is that genuinely good teams are now paying the price for what bad teams did before them. Think about it. How many projects raised millions, promised the world and eventually disappeared? How many communities lost money believing in those promises? Now imagine being a new team genuinely trying to build something great. You're entering an industry where people have been disappointed so many times that they automatically assume you're going to fail. That's what happens when an industry loses the trust of its own community. And now you fix it by building & by delivering. By showing people that your team is still here when the hype disappears. Web3 gaming needs real teams trying to build real business' now, not more ponzi's.

Coming next Month: Fort Canning, the biggest upgrade in Enjin Blockchain history, is set for Nov 9 on the Relaychain & Nov 16 on the Matrixchain, with ENJ holders voting on it now. My verdict: It was definintely Uptober on Enjin! Which Enjin game had the best October?

Game night with @hamieverse yesterday was an absolute blast. From the second I jumped in, everyone made me feel right at home. It's rare to find a community this welcoming, and @marcellovtv was one hell of a host, keeping the energy up all night long! Special thanks to @behdadjaa for the invite and for making sure I was taken care of the whole way through. And the game itself? It's already looking super polished. I had so much fun that I kept playing even after game night ended! Can't wait to see where it goes from here. Who's joining the next one?

Is gaming slow right now, or are we just not looking? Same few games on the TL every day. Drop a game below that isn't talked about enough.

Imagine this: You lose a fight. An AI overlay tells you exactly what went wrong. "You engaged too early." "Wrong ammo for that hull." I'm building it. An AI gameplay coach that sits on top of your game. Would you use one, or is that cheating?

Unpopular opinion: Games should reward skill, not hours. Reward hours & you get bots & farmers. Reward skill & you get players who want to improve. Leaderboards. Tournaments. Ranked seasons. Hours are easy to fake. Skill isn't. This is the post I drafted for today, so seeing @BirthdayBoi discuss something similar about automation makes me feel like I'm not the only one thinking this way. All the big MMOs have bots, and to a certain degree, a healthy economy requires bots to fill the supply/demand that humans cannot. But I am very much against automation; I believe the human behind the screen should always be rewarded more than someone running a script. What about you, where do you stand? Do we need more automation or less?
Is automation killing web3 gaming? I recently had a convo with @inhuman about automation in web3 gaming, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Bots, AI agents, scripts - they’ve always been part of gaming - legally or not. In fully onchain games even more so, because everything is open and there’s basically no way to protect against them. So the question isn’t “will automation happen”, it’s “where do we draw the line”. For me, it goes like this: Repetitive stuff like “come back in 12h and claim your resources”? Automate it. Fishing in @onchainheroes is a great example. Nobody loses anything when a script collects rewards for you. But the moment we get to direct interactions with other players, everything changes. Doesn't matter if directly or indirectly (via some incentivized leaderboards for example). Who sends the tx first, who misses by a second, who doesn’t even log in because a bot does everything for them. As far as I talked to some poeple I think that was the case with @gigaverse as well at some point (don't quote me on that - that's someone else's opinions) - either you automate your play or you're not competitive anymore. That changed a lot during the recent The Awakening event - new mechanics forced people to play by hand and overally feedback around the game was really positive. At that point the game loses its core. It stops being a game and becomes a bot vs bot arena. The fun is gone, the human factor is gone, all that’s left is numbers from incentives. And the irony? Something that was supposed to be the salvation of web3 gaming (you don’t have to sit at your computer all day) and a growth driver for a project, ends up pushing players out in the long run. They burn out and leave, demotivated by fighting automated farms. And here’s the trap. Metrics can look amazing, because you have thousands of fully automated accounts. But behind them? 50 people. That’s why I believe a game should ALWAYS reward human play more. Whether through the fun of playing itself or through extra possibilities that can’t be automated. If a game can’t reward a human, that’s not the bots fault. It’s just bad game design. Do you think automation helps or destroys the web3 gaming projects?

Serious question folks. If every reward in your favourite web3 game vanished tomorrow... Would you still log in? No tokens. No airdrop. No leaderboard payout. Just the game. The P2E era already proved you can't farm your way to a lasting game. The games that survive the next year will be the ones people play for fun. Be honest: which one would you still play?

Oh, you've got an army? That's cute. @EVE_Frontier's Riders just took down 20,000 Feral Drones as ONE community target. Not a guild. Not a clan. The whole Frontier. SURGE ended and the goal was accomplished! This is what gaming should feel like: shared goals, real stakes, every kill counts. What's the best community event you've ever been part of?

My early find radar is still undefeated. I put you on @StarstoneTales before it hit Steam. Now it's on Steam, iOS & Android, running early access tournaments, & TODAY it's game night: ⏰ 16:00 UTC 📍 The @enjin Discord 🎁 ENJ infused NFTs up for grabs & some wicked ingame prizes. Who's pulling up?

Ronin, Immutable, Enjin,... I still don't care. Look at the last 2 weeks: @InfinityRisingX shipped 0.4.6 in pre-alpha. @OSP_TD dropped Starfall & a Roblox update. @misfitgalaxymmo went quiet, then came back with Rifts & a November tease. Meanwhile the TL is still arguing about which chain is king. Players don't pick chains. They pick games. Which team is shipping the hardest right now?

Most games struggle to build a real in-game economy. The Citadels closed beta showed what it looks like when loops actually work. The playtest ran from Sep 30th - Oct 16th & the numbers speak for themselves: 💰 15.65M ORE earned 🔥 13.02M ORE spent ⚖️ 83.2% taken back by sinks Halfway through, the team introduced their first taste of the ingame economy: Player owned Stores. The numbers, well they didn't dissapoint: 🔹2,187,750 ORE traded 🔹9,420 items changed hands 🔹33 pilots running their own stores 🔹1.0M ORE taken in by player stores 🔹Biggest single sale: 25,000 ORE And this was only the BASIC stores. This is one of the many reasons I believe in the team building @0xCitadel: They understand the most basic economic principle: supply and demand.
