Tactical Periodisation by Vítor Frade

When planning your training, are you thinking about physical capacities or about the way your team plays? As a coach, understanding the Morphocycle means understanding the logic behind the training process and how each exercise contributes to preparing the team to play.

Our CEO, Mara Vieira, attended the 9th Football and Futsal Seminar organised by Dragões do Oeste and ANTF, a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and reflect on the game. Thank you for the warm welcome and for making this initiative possible!

Are we training to play, or are we just training? In Futebol de Alto Rendimento, published by FPF Academy, Álvaro Fortunato Vaz explores different approaches to training for the game, including #TacticalPeriodisation, a methodology developed by Vítor Frade from 1979 onwards.

🇵🇹 Congratulations, Tiago! Congratulations to Tiago Louzeiro, Assistant Coach of Portugal U21 and alumnus of our 2023 Master in Tactical Periodisation®, on qualification for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. 👏 #TacticalPeriodisation #PortugalU21

Are the colours of the Morphocycle really about physical capacities? The Morphocycle is not "strength day", "endurance day" or "speed day". As Miguel explains, it organises the training process between matches, respecting the logic of the Game, not isolated physical qualities.

🎙️ "The Master challenged the way I think about football and the training process." — Fábio Carvalho More than an educational programme, the Professional Master in Tactical Periodisation® is an opportunity to question, reflect and deepen your understanding of the Game. #Futebol

Can we understand an injury by looking only at the muscle? Reminds us that the player is not a collection of isolated parts. Every movement, decision and adaptation emerges from the interaction between the body, the brain and the Game. #PeriodizacionTactica
