As a video editor, you'd always want to work with creators that you get along with. The friendship bond that you'll curate with someone brings so much value on both sides of the coin. The editor will be more motivated to make sure that each video is more exceptional than the next for the creator. The creator will then inturn treat you like an actual human & not exploit you when it comes to rates or breathe down your neck about video deadlines. We as humans are more inclined to do things for the people we like. If you're struggling to get testimonials/reviews for your portfolio this is the best way to go about it as well. Shoutout to @ThatNerdChris for being such a homie to me. I remember we used to get on calls & talk about life & not work in general when we were working together. He never stressed over deadlines & always treated me with respect. This is the reason I don't call the people I work with "clients". They're my friends🙏🏾.
